Booking not honoured but friendly staff
Pros:

Staff pleasant and helpful. Everything was clean and in good condition.

Cons:

The room provided was not the one booked. I booked a double but on arrival was told that they had allocated a twin room because the hotel was full. I didn’t find that acceptable. The room was uncomfortably warm despite it not being a particularly hot day/night.

Resteraunt that had Aircon.

Cons:

We were on 3rd floor, heat was unbearable, no Aircon and windows that only opened an inch, on our second night we moved to ground floor which was better, so great if it was winter, but in the summer, never again.

How can Holiday Inn NOT have air conditioning in the rooms when you are expected to pay £146 per night

The room is not air conditioned, they have a wall socket fan that you need to use for cooling. Paying £146 per night for a room in a Holiday Inn without air conditioning is unacceptable.

Good stay in comparison to other similar hotels.
Pros:

When you walk in it’s a nice and bright environment and the staff are very friendly. The room was very clean with all the necessary facilities. The bathroom had Dove hand wash, body wash and shampoo.

Cons:

I found lots of dirty plates under the toaster area at breakfast time. They obviously hadn’t been washed properly in the dishwasher and hadn’t been check before stacking. Lots of wet plates at the hot breakfast food. These have been stacked when too hot creating this condensation that can’t escape them can breed germs and it’s not nice picking up a wet plate when about to eat off it. However, all the breakfast food was good.
