Our visit to Calgary for a family funeral was made much worse by the extra day charges on 2 rooms
Pros:

Crowded room - counldn't get a table, went out to eat - eating room too small

Cons:

Arrived with a Booking dot com reservation for three days but informed the desk we only wanted a two day stay. After taking my credit card for a hold on the room the desk informed me they could change the reservation and would have to charge me for all three days. Advised me to contact Booking dot com for a refund. Booking dot com told me that they had taken no money from m,e and that the hotel merely had to not charge me for the third day. The desk informed me they wouldn't do that and in fact charged me for the tird day. the manager was rude to me in conversation.

Was good for the night too pricey at that time
Pros:

Close to ranch man’s after a night at the stampede

Cons:

Prices jacked up for stampede week
After booking on this site we had a call from the hotel to see if we were actually taking the room.
I assume they were going to try sell it to someone else.

When we checked into our room it was not very clean. The toilet was not cleaned and there was toothpaste and I think vom
Pros:

The staff was very friendly and I liked the pool and gym.

Cons:

Our room was not clean upon check in
There were no mats in the gym or cleaner to clean the equipment in between users
The breakfast was depleted before 9am with nothing added for anyone coming down after 9

Location is good, there are other options I wouldn’t consider if I could do this again.
Pros:

Good location

Cons:

Needs a huge revamp in so many areas or just name it a motel and should be fine As-is.
Breakfast was horrible With many rooms whoever runs here needs to ensure faster refill of the “Buffet” and at least have all the options available.
I asked for a crib, got a dirty pen and was asked if I needed sheets for the dirty mattress in terrible condition. I was shocked that was an option for guests.
I got a different room than I booked, no refund or response despite being assured upon checkout that someone will be in touch.
Ran out of towels in the pool. Was told would need to wait 40mins to 1hr to have some towels laundered.

Pros:

The staff were SO friendly. Greeting everytime we came in. Asked about the room and our day.
The room was massive and clean
We stayed during stampede..we did not hear any rowdy parties. Pool was clean and fairly busy but calm for the season.
$20 Uber to stampede grounds. Large parking lot and an amazing local (ethnic) "street food" vendor restaurant down the street we walked to.

Nothing.
