Grundsätzlich schönes Hotel, mit Problemen...
Pros:

Sehr gutes Frühstück, toller Fitness-Raum, moderne und großzügige Zimmer, bequeme Betten. Nach Toronto Downtown ca. 40min Autofahrt (plus ggf. Stau). Zu empfehlen ist auch ein abendlicher Ausflug zum Bronte Harbour, hier kann man gut spazieren gehen und Eis essen.

Cons:

Leider sehr lautes Klimagerät, das meinen Schlaf regelmäßig unterbrochen hat.

Frühstück wird wie vor 100 Jahren mit handgeschriebenen Coupons (einer pro Tag und Gast!) abgewickelt. Das habe ich als umständlich und irgendwie unangenehm empfunden. Zudem gibt es im Frühstücksbereich Personal, das einem den Platz zuweist. Dafür soll dann aber täglich noch eine 0$–Rechnung unterschrieben werden und parallel wird noch um Trinkgeld gebeten. Habe ich so in anderen Holiday Inns noch nicht erlebt.

Über die Kosten des Frühstücks für das mitgereiste Kind gab es zudem einen kleinen Disput (Booking.com und das Hotel haben hier teils verschiedene Meinungen über die inkludierten Leistungen). Der Mitarbeiter beim Check-in hatte mir direkt zusätzliche Kosten angekündigt und war auch nicht bereit, das Thema zu besprechen. Erst beim Check-Out wurde das Thema dann durch Christian sehr freundlich und professionell gelöst.

Zimmerservice war leider unzuverlässig und bei Problemen (fehlende Handtücher, Toilettenpapier nicht aufgefüllt...) auch kaum ansprechbar.

Schade, eigentlich ein gutes und modernes Hotel. Vielleicht hatten wir auch einfach nur Pech gehabt. Viele der negativen Punkte könnten aber leicht abgestellt werden.

It is a pretty run down hotel. It was relatively clean, meaning the daily cleaning was good, but the maintenance part was missing. E.g moldy silicone in the bathroom, super stained and run down carpet etc..
