We come to this hotel on our birthdays and our list trip was fantastic. We didn’t have the best time in November and almost didn’t come back. We got one of the refreshed rooms, everything was comfortable and relaxing. We enjoyed our evening down by a fire place and ate at the pub. I’m relieved to say last fall’s trip must have been a one-off.
My children loved the pool/water slide area and the breakfast buffet!!

It’s cleaning and welcoming.
Drop cloths on stairs and floors that we had to walk over to get to our room/ elevators.
Beautiful location and great pub!
The pool was dirty some of the staff was rude and they did not have the rooms ready prior to check in.
Love the atmosphere!
The only thing we didn’t like is that we weren’t able to get our rooms at 4 which is the check-in and didn’t get settled into our rooms until 445. It would have been nice to receive some sort of compensation as we stay there often and had two rooms.
Upon check-in the credit card information which was on file when booked did not work. Got to room and everything seemed very dusty, all the bottles were empty in shower (shampoo, conditioner and body wash). Called front desk, took 40mins for replacement. Overall not the best experience for the price you pay. 6/10
Meals were exceptional.
My stay was too short
As a frequent guest I am wondering what steps,if any, have been taken to address the recent outbreak of Hepatitis A in the hotel restaurant that infected a number of guests?
Lovely hotel with great atmosphere
Comfortable lobby and seating around fireplace. Staff everyone of them so friendly. My particular enjoyment on a wintery few days was the lovely staff in the dining room Luila, Varun and Serhi. Breakfast with Luila was lovely so attentive. Front desk staff smiling and pleasing.
Not realizing when I booked their were different buildings. For most it wouldn't matter but I have a walking disability and it makes walking any distance difficult. The front desk staff did get me as close as they could last .minute realizing my issue. Would have been helpful knowing to ask for building with dining.
Everything was perfect !!
We had a lovely 2 bed room. Our dog was welcomed (though we were pointedly asked more than once whether our dog was being looked after when we walked by the front desk. (This is the first time, in visits to many hotels, that we were treated like this. The dog was quiet and well-behaved. It was the same person each time who asked us.) The food at Braxton's was always delicious and creative. We had tea on our second day and were delighted by the treats. The indoor pool was fun, and sitting in front of a big fire together was very relaxing. He took at ghost story tour....wish it had been told with a bit more passion.
