Historic, location, special bottle of champagne and chocolate for our anniversary as well as room upgrade
Very busy, didn’t receive room robes until last day, flower and gift delivery confusion remained unresolved
We recently spent 3 nights at this hotel. We had a beautiful larger room with water views. It was extremely quiet and clean. The only downside was the wallpaper was lifting at most of the seams which was not pretty to look at. The included breakfast was awesome, and the egg chef was wonderful! We ate at Le Sam and the lobster roll was incredible! Our server Marie Eve was amazing and read my mind as to the need for a to go cup for my Chamomile tea. Our final dinner in the Rose Room had sweeping views of the water. We will return to beautiful Quebec City!
Location was the best. Restaurants settings and food were outstanding. View from the room was good.
Room was small given the price, and not very soundproof, given that we could hear people in other rooms.
The staff was pleasant and went above and beyond to help. The property is incredibly beautiful. I only wish I could have stayed longer.
The Fairmont Chateau Frontenac is a delight to stay in. We enjoyed a lovely bedroom, spacious and quiet. The hotel was clean and bright. Everyone in the front of house were amazing, helpful, polite and good adverts for the hotel, all the porters, the doormen, the check in desks.
A big shout out must be for the Concierge team; they are brilliant. I had a big problem with my tooth and had to visit an emergency dentist. Alex, who I understand is a new member of the Concierge team, worked so hard to help me. I requested help mid-afternoon and by the evening, with Alex’s help, I had a dental appointment arranged for 9am the next day. We were lucky enough to enjoy a wonderful guest tour of the hotel, which was led by a new employee who has joined the Concierge team. Unfortunately, I cannot remember her name but she took us round st 2pm on 10th July. She was excellent and it was a treat for staying guests to be offered this benefit. The other member of the team I would like to praise was a lady, who I think was called Rose Marie, who found my lost sunglasses in the depths of Lost Property and then found me to return them.
We also really appreciated our tandem massages, definitely helped with the aches and pains from flying and hiking. Using the laundry service was a dream – a bit more expensive but clothes were washed and treated with care and returned within 24 hours, wrapped beautifully.
We got treated like royalty !! This Hotel is so busy yet makes everyone feel so special . Did the Hotel tour which was amazing . Rooms immaculate and so comfortable. Cindy at front desk is the warmest most professional Receptionist ever ! Loved meeting her .
We stayed 3 nights at Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac August 2026. The best part of our stay is the location. It is central as central could be. Restaurants abound in this lively area. It is old, historic & the iconic symbol of the city. First impression, I was underwhelmed. The lobby was not grand. We got the entry-level queen-size bedroom at about USD $665 per night (no breakfasts), the room is very tiny with no drawers. It felt the same size as in a regular cabin on a cruise. Upon check-in, the receptionist told us that our booked room does not have a window. I do not know if all of them are like that. However, he said he was able to give us a room with a window at the same price level. Whether that was an upgrade or not, he did not say. Well, the room was tiny. The bathroom, while nice & well-equipped, was also very tiny. Having a water & ice dispenser station on every floor is a big plus. There is a coffee brewer in the room. The staff from the reception, concierge, bell desk to housekeeping, they were very very good, efficient, helpful & professional. When we left daily tips & friendly notes to housekeeping, she answered back with her own friendly thank you note which was a very nice touch. I presume if you do not book the bigger suites at the hotel, you will not be impressed. The value for the price paid was in the location & staff. It is good to know what it is like to stay in this iconic hotel but next time we come back, we will try another hotel.
