The location
Everything else
Location, breakfast, facilities

The location is perfect, it can't be better! The rooms are decent, though the bathrooms are small. Our rooms did not have a river view; I guess they charge a premium for that. The staff was very courteous and helpful; they helped us check in early.
The value for money was not there, to a greater extent! I mean, Fairmont is charging an overly premium price solely for the property's location and historical value.
The location is perfect Comfy rooms
Great
Hard to get water and ice. The charging outlets didn’t work. The lamp didn’t work.
The location is awesome. Couldn’t stop clicking photos of the hotel itself. The hotel lobbies have the old world charm. Very polite and helpful staff. The free city tour organised by the hotel was very good.
The bathroom should be bigger. Though we booked the room for 4 adults, there was coffee/tea only for 2. Had to call each day and request them to send. There was a paid hotel tour and it was a waste of time and money.
Great location with comfortable rooms and excellent service throughout the stay. Despite having many rooms, the hotel manages operations efficiently and smoothly. The Gold Lounge is a standout, with staff who are especially warm and attentive, creating a very homely atmosphere. The food is very good, and the bar (1608) is also enjoyable with a pleasant ambience. The only minor drawbacks are that the bathroom feels a bit small and the WiFi could be stronger. However, neither issue would stop me from staying here again. Overall, a highly satisfying and comfortable hotel experience that I would gladly repeat again soon.
The property was amazing! The view was spectacular like from a movie! We walked the Dufferin and around the city without any issues! Would definitely come back and book again! The staff were phenomenal and we appreciate everything each one of them provided!
None
A beautiful and historic property in a fantastic location. The hotel is situated near the peak of the old city, providing easy downhill walking access to restaurants, shops and other attractions. There is also easy access to the promenade above the river and a little bit further is access to the city’s fortifications.
Staff were friendly and attentive and added to the enjoyment of our stay.
Location, estetics, service
Gold floor lounge, not as nice as some I've stayed in....food offerings not as nice....wine overpriced.
Emplacement, le cadre et l’environnement, le buffet du petit déjeuner, le professionnalisme de tout le personnel.
Check-in tardif, on a eu la chambre à 17h00… Le lit pas très confortable
Hotel is very old, but very beautiful too. Rooms are small especially bathroom. The cleaning staff were very nice and room was perfectly cleaned everyday. Breakfast is very expensive by the menu and buffet.
Breakfast price
Also it is kind of odd, the hotel has about 4 doormen standing outside, and they see you coming and going with bags or children and they look at you and don't open the heavy doors.
As iconic as we hoped it would be - what a beautiful place! Even if you’re not staying here, it’s a must visit.
The staff is beyond friendly, the breakfast is $$ but amazing - still dreaming about those maple syrup pancakes - and the roomservice is excellent. Gym is very wel equipped, compliments!
It’s expensive, and in our opinion, a bit too expensive for the rooms you’re getting (on the small side, relatively dark, small beds). Also, the moment you touch sometime in the mini fridge you get charged for it - everything is electronically wired. It’s okay of course, such feels very cheap.
