I would say it was a pleasant stay staff were nice and did a good job under pressure

Cons:

No lifts were working due to renovations and I had a moon boot on with a broken foot,so I had to climb stairs up to our room .
There was an absolutely foul smell in the area heading towards the lifts , the room I booked for us for my Partners Birthday Night with bay view and balcony was terribly out of date ,carpets need replacing,bed was very uncomfortable and to top it off ....our balcony was right next to construction site which we were rudely and suddenly awakened to the sounds of jack hammers and loud hammering ,etc at 6.30am .
Wasn't a good start to a special Birthday Celebration and quality time for my Partner and I, especially when paying extra for a supposed higher quality room with a bay view balcony which was disappointingly of very poor standard quality and experience indeed.
Such an absolute shame.

The location and the view

Cons:

Parking and accessibility for people with a disability
$50 for valet parking which was just outside the building( a bit steep $$)
I hope with the extension that the walk is easier to the hotel from parking as parking in shopping centre and climbing stairs was tricky.
This was a treat for myself before a visit to Epworth coming from Melbourne so valet parking cost was not within my budget
If I was to visit again I would only consider once all building work was completed

convenient for our needs
Pros:

The room was lovely and the location excellent.

Cons:

It was disappointing that both soap dispensers (the hand soap & shower body soap) were both close to empty for teh entirity of my stay. The glasses in teh room were just rinsed each day and not washed - I would have liked fresh glasses knowing that they had been put through a dishwasher for hygeine reasons. I was also really disappointed that there was no complimentary water.

Pros:

The rooms & location

Cons:

Lack of communication in regards to renovating & extraordinary charge for parking. Food at function average & room not made up. Will never choose to stay at a Novotel again.
