Great location. Friendly Staff. Free Parking. 10 Minutes to Cologne City Centre
Pros:

We stayed in the apartments next door to the hotel which was a one bed with sofa bed and was very comfortable.
Location was great for access to the City Centre.

We did not use public transport, however, there is a bus stops less than a minute walk from the hotel which brings you to the City Centre and the buses runs frequently. We had a hire car so If you are driving then you can get to the City Centre (Lanxess Arena) in around 10 minutes.

I am a smoker so the apartment with the balcony was great which allowed smoking on the balcony area.

Local shops (Lidl) was around 2 minute drive away and parking outside the hotel is FREE of charge and on first come first served basis. If this parking is full then there is plenty of FREE parking nearby which is less than a minute walk.
The staff here are extremely polite, helpful and welcoming. Overall, a really pleasant stay. Thank you to all the staff at The New Yorker Hotel, you all deserve a pay rise ;)

Cons:

The only criticism I can make is that the hotel could have provided a toaster in the room and larger coffee cups/mugs and glasses etc.

Not enough cutlery/plates etc. Very basic and could be improved with very little costs etc.

Been a regular in Cologne since 2009 and this is one of my favourite hotels!
Pros:

Location was handy for us (as it was a 20-min walk from Koelnmesse) but a bit out of the way more generally. The hotel was a real hidden gem though, beautifully put together and really well thought out; thoughtful, pleasant staff too.

Cons:

Honestly, I loved most of it but the breakfast could have been a little more varied and adventurous. (Which would have better suited the hotel's approach elsewhere.)

Sightseeing Köln
Pros:

Gute Lage, um in die Stadt zu radeln. Öffentliche Parkplätze waren ausreichend vorhanden. Frühstücksbuffet war lecker. Zimmer für eine Nacht perfekt.

Cons:

Nachts haben im Zimmer zahlreiche Kontroll-Leuchten (Fernseher, Lichtschalter, Klimaanlage) geleuchtet - das haben wir als störend empfunden.
