Not much. The only good thing was the staff were lovely and helpful.
The location is in a horrible area, the parking is limited. The rooms are in need of an extreme makeover, food is average.
Very little
Too noisy, dated and tired
Staff were lovely as always.
Noise from room above was dreadful. This isn't a reflection on the person staying there but on the total lack of soundproofing between floors. When the person walked about or made any noise it was extremely loud.
Old tired hotel
Nothing
Breakfast was lovely, dining room very clean offered a great selection
I didn't like my family member being charged for a room when it was already paid for ,thought it was really bad the hotel used his card when I myself booked everything
The location was excellent and the building is stunning. Steff on reception was a so friendly and helpful.
Room was ok.
Breakfast was very good lots of choice and helpful staff.
Location was great for city centre activities all walkable from the hotel.
The brasserie was a great place to eat - excellent service from friendly , helpful staff
The room was a little tired looking in decor especially the bathroom.
The bed was too hard for us ( but a personal opinion).
Although the room was generally in a quiet spot, the banging of other room doors was a disturbance late evening and early morning. ( a soft closing mechanism might help).
There was a good deal of choice for meat eaters on the brasserie menu but we thought more vegetarian and vegan options would be fairer. For example 4 different meat burgers but none for vegetarians/vegans.
We had realised after booking that there were steps to bedroom. An email confirmed this, but they forgot to add that there were a further 15 steps to the restaurant. Does need more highlighting not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. However, the staff were incredibly helpful, and I did get time to discuss this with the manager. Without there help our stay would have been disastrous.
Lack of pull card in bathroom. Again manager has assured us this will be looked at .
Location
Very aged, no soundproofing, in need of renovations
Spotless, staff amazing and polite, great central locstat
Small things really but have to mention, prestige room fab no sugar for coffee, minor I know but small points matter, next breakfast was awesome , however the one coffee machine for a full house at breakfast just isn’t enough, waited for scrambled egg gone as soon as it came, needs more on a few other items, orange juice ran out, again due to the numbers
Comfortable room. Breakfast good, plenty choice and well cooked. Staff were very efficient, friendly and welcoming.
Room was very warm and window didn’t stay open.
The building- interesting features incorporated of the old mill.
Easy parking.
Pub food but we'll cooked and presented
Staff were helpful and welcoming
Would have been nice to get away from the tv in the bar when eating when Brasserie closed.
Location is excellent in walking distance of the town centre.
Due to the heatwave conditions the room was very warm so we removed the downie from the cover only to find the duvet was filthy. The bathroom sink had a huge crack in it across the bowl.
