Very friendly staff. Room was adequate and they provided us with a wet room for my husband which was appreciated.
Sound proofing from upstairs was not good. Very noisy from around 06:00 and again from around 22:30 from floor boards and people talking.
Friendly
Bar prices very high
The receptionist was very polite and helpful
Love this wee hotel and enjoy visiting Perth. This hotel is central to everything we like to do when visiting, the staff are so attentive and welcoming and nothing is ever too much trouble for them.
Our room was a bit dated with a huge crack in the bathroom sink and an old worn leather chair which was peeling and very badly worn. Another thing we've now been made aware of is that you need to pay for parking whilst staying at the hotel. In all the years of coming here I've never had this happen before and I find it pretty bad that this is an extra addition to your hotel stay making it even more expensive than you anticipated. All in all poor judgement in trying to extort more money from hotel residents.

BEDS COULD HAVE HAVE BIGGER (SINGLE BEDS)
Location, parking, breakfast, and friendliness of staff
WiFi was a bit intermittent at busy times
Location was very convenient for the city centre. The bed was comfortable and clean. The staff were very welcoming and friendly.
The room was extremely tired and needs attention. The carpet was threadbare for a significant section around the bed, the lampshade was damaged, the bathroom sink vanity had damage (laminate chunks missing and coloured in).
The room served it's purpose and was comfortable and clean for the stay. It was just a shame that the staff are being let down by the visual elements of the room, especially for a Mercure.
Poor WiFi
Excellent location and reception/bar area. Rooms are tired and dated
Rooms need refurbished
Great location, good bar, check in staff are great, comfy bed.
Second visit to the Mercure and really great stay. Mix up with room on arrival as I needed and booked an accessible room but was directed upstairs which was very difficult for me. However I was met struggling upstairs by a great guy from staff called Callum who took my luggage and sorted it all out and I was given the same accessible room I had last time. I hope the hotel appreciates him as much as he deserves. Breakfast was great. Self service including haggis! Dinner rather disappointing very much like motel services which rather lets the hotel down but there are some good places to eat nearby. Parking ok and with disabled parking right outside. Lovely place with nice bar and right on the mill stream which you can see through the glass floor by reception. In all a great place and at a reasonable price.
Location
It’s looking a bit tired in the room and adjoining corridors- very poor work replacing tiles in the shower with totally different ones.
Breakfast was not up to the standard I expected from a Mercury Hotel - bacon extremely rare and couldn’t get a coffee as the Staff hadn’t checked the machine and it turned out not to be working.
The location was good and the history of the property interesting. The staff were pleasant
The rooms were shoddy and dirty. Many of the common parts were shoddy.
Threadbare furniture, cracked tiles and tiles missing.
Dirty bathrooms
The hotel needs a complete refurbishment and untilthis happens it should be closed. I have taken pictures and will be writing directly to the management. I have stayed in Mercure hotels before which were fabulous.
Breakfast was good with a good choice
L’emplacement et le personnel très sympathique.
Les chambres vieillissantes. Très étonné pour un établissement mercure
