very good location en service. calm en clean, good variant breakfast. reception very helpful. flexibility in the check in and out.
A beautiful hotel conveniently located 30 minutes or less from most major sites and attractions in Central London (a 30-minute transit in London is common). The rates are very affordable, the rooms are nice, and the breakfast buffet is incredible (add it to your room to save money and avoid paying a la carte in the mornings). I've stayed twice now and plan to return and to recommend it to anyone I know who is traveling to London.
A very nice hotel with friendly staff. The hotel has a good location and St John’s wood underground station is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel has a nice restaurant and bar. A very good breakfast with a lit of variety is served. The beds in the room was so nice, perfect combination of form and soft.
I would highly recommend this hotel.
Excellent service
A very warm welcoming upon arrival.
Marianna was very professional.
She was very informative and managed to extend our room.
Pleasure to deal with.
We had a heating problem in our room upon arrival. Marsha very kindly sorted it out swiftly and professionally. Lovely hotel. Good location. Professional staff.
Spent two nights at the Danubius , and enjoyed the ambiance and professionalism of the hotel and its team members .
We were upgraded to a petite suite , and appreciated the quiet location .
The Front Desk and Concierge teams were welcoming and proactive .
The bedroom seemed recently refurbished , with blown air heating and
great water pressure . We requested feather pillows from the room attendant , who promptly delivered them with a smile .
Breakfast buffet was extensive , and well presented .
The neighborhood of StJohns Wood was a pleasant discovery - quiet parks , good selection of quality restaurants , Lords Cricket Ground , and Abbey Road .
I would just like to say that every time I stay at the Danubius hotel I have a lovely experience friendly staff and always happy to help
I would like to say a big THANKS to SHIHAB and VALENTINA
See you all soon
Thanks sean
my room was extremely small and as I suffer in claustrophobic spaces, it made me quite uncomfortable.
there was a strange noise which almost sounded like heating pipes which was on and off all night keeping me awake. I had virtually no sleep. It was a very unsatisfactory stay for me. I won’t be returning.
Perfect location for meeting at Lords Cricket Ground, entrance however is around the rear so whilst you can see the hotel from the ground access is not there.
Hotel is lovely and clean, staff were kind and helpful and i was able to leave my bags there post check out so I could explore the area before leaving.
The room (standard twin) was nice and clean, only issue was the heating, i wasn't able to turn it off and got quite warm in the night, I left the system on with the temperature set low to keep room more comfortable but the noise from it was not conducive with a good sleep. I spoke to colleagues the next day and they suggested their window opened slightly, I will be honest and say I didn't try, it was dark when i checked in and just closed the curtains assuming they were safety ones that couldn't be opened. My room overlooked a car parking area so there was little disturbance, for the central location I thought it was very quiet overall.
We ate as a group in the evening having pre chosen our food options, all food was cooked beautifully and was very tasty.
The bar area was nice and welcoming an we used it pre and post dinner. I even managed another drink when I collected my luggage!
Great location, friendly professional service.
More attention to deep clean (cobwebs, floors under furniture, etc) would be good.
We had a wonderful experience at this hotel, and a big part of it was thanks to Mariana at the reception. From the moment my family and I arrived for check-in, she was incredibly kind, professional, and welcoming. She made us feel comfortable right away, explained everything clearly, and was always smiling and willing to help.
After a long journey, being greeted with such warmth really made a difference. Mariana’s attention and positive attitude truly reflect the high standards of this hotel. Thanks to her, our stay started in the best possible way.
I highly recommend this hotel, and especially commend Mariana for her excellent service. She is a great asset to the team, and we would definitely stay here again.
We booked this hotel as our son was having a operation at the nearby Wellington Hospital from first going to reception the management and staff made you welcome the hotel is perfect the rooms have just been refurbished and are fantastic the hotel staff from your breakfast to the bar and restaurant are very welcoming and try there upmost to make your stay as perfect as they can nothing is to much trouble the breakfast and evening meal was perfect I would highly recommend this hotel to families if you are visiting London or if your on business or like ourselves having family at the hospital we honestly can not thank all the staff enough we will be booking again soon you made a difficult time alot easier and we truly thank you all for this
The hotel is located in a safe, quiet environment, next to a nice clean and tidy park. The rooms are very clean, the staff is always helpful. At the bar, our waitress Kelly was very polite, kind and smiling, the service was outstanding. Overall, I can't say anything bad about it.
Perfect location for The Wellington Hospital. Offer a great deal if you’re having surgery there. Friendly staff, nice clean room. Would definitely stay again,
The service was excellent from the start, at check-in, with the attendant Mariana who was very attentive, the breakfast was always delicious, and the room was impeccable. The hotel has a great location, being close to a bus stop and two underground stations. My family and I had a great experience.
This is my return stay at your hotel. (11 nights) I would like to note that the hotel is very comfortable, very clean and meets my needs. The administration is friendly and ready to help. However, unfortunately, the person who greets guests at the entrance to the restaurant in the mornings is more hostile than friendly. It's a shame.
Lovely hotel in prime position for getting to city centre. Very polite staff. Great accommodation . Excellent breakfast and bar meals.
I stayed for one night just before New Year's Eve and was pleasantly surprised, having heard negative things about hotels in London. The reception was very welcoming, and the restaurant was allergy-friendly. I have a milk allergy and celiac disease. The night before New Year's, we had a waiter who really understood allergies; she said she would ask the chef to make fries in the oven so they wouldn't be fried with other gluten-containing food. The next day, we went to the restaurant again, and this time, the waiter was a bit unsure about allergies. However, when I explained that I get really ill from even a small amount of gluten or cross-contamination, she showed genuine concern, even though she didn't know much about allergies (which I think everyone in the food industry should know). I explained my celiac disease and asked her to tell the chef. It can be a challenge to explain how important it is sometimes, but she was very nice.
Check-in was also great—we got a room on the 11th floor (the top floor). I think this was because the receptionist wanted a good review. How do I know? Because she asked me for a personal review afterward, which I don't think is very professional, as we shouldn't feel obligated to leave a review; rather, we should do so if we are pleasantly surprised. That aside, the experience was good. We also got a late checkout for £10 per hour (extended from 12:00 to 15:00, totaling £30). Considering it was New Year's Day and we came back to the hotel at four in the morning, this was a huge positive as we were quite tired.
The room was clean and had two double beds for me and my three friends. It wasn't spacious, but it had two bathrooms with showers and was in good condition.
I haven't spent much time in London, but based on what I've heard, I would recommend this hotel!
Thank you for the great service! It was wonderful to be able to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Eve with everyone at the Danubius.
We had a great stay at the Danubius Hotel. Everything was very clean and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Thanks to the friendly staff member Mariana, we even received a New Year upgrade. A perfect way to start the year!
