Not poor, but below average for Homewood Suites.
Pros:

Below standards for Homewood Suites. Hotel looks and feels a little run down.

Tub was very narrow and not flat on the bottom, making showers a bit dicey and uncomfortable. With soap, tub became very slippery. With the curved bottom, footing was unstable. There were no grab bars with which to steady yourself.

The Hilton web site says there is an $8 charge for parking. Thankfully, they did not charge for parking, which would have been ridiculous.

If you want to stay at a Homewood Suites, try the one in Victor, about 20 minutes away and with better Thruway access. I've stayed there and much prefer it.

Nice hotel
Pros:

Some of these extremely negative review surprise me. We had a nice stay here. We had 2 bedroom/2 bathroom hotel room.
Here are the cons: the room was really hard to find. It was a maze through the hallways and the design made no sense. Housekeeping is obviously lacking. For example: there was an entire meal left in the microwave from the previous guests. There were also almonds scattered on the bedroom floor. The shower head in one of the bathrooms was pointed out and made a huge mess on the floor. The shower head could not be moved or manipulated to face more inward. There were also kids in the room above us jumping and yelling and we could hear that for hours.
Were these issues deal breakers? Not for us.
Here are the positives: very nice hotel. The room was very large. Both bedrooms were spacious, comfortable and the beds were comfortable. Once the kids above us went to bed, we barely heard a noise. The kitchenette was small and we didn’t really use it, but it did supply some glassware, plates and utensils. The plates were all small, so no large meals could be eaten. I didn’t think to look for pans, because we ordered out. I found staff were very friendly and helpful. We definitely got a good night of sleep.
I’ve stayed on other hotels in this area, and most are filled with extremely loud sports teams and rooms aren’t as quiet after midnight.
I think maybe pay more attention to detail while cleaning, fix the shower head, and you’d get a 5 from me.
