From the moment I stepped in, the vibe was everything—stylish yet relaxed, with an energy that perfectly captures the spirit of the Gaslamp. Whether you’re grabbing a drink or settling in for a full meal, the atmosphere makes you want to stay a while.
The food and drinks were absolutely on point—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every detail felt intentional, and it’s clear the team takes pride in delivering a high-quality experience that goes far beyond what you might expect from a hotel restaurant.
What truly made the experience unforgettable, though, was the service—Lindsay and Vanessa were phenomenal. They brought the perfect mix of professionalism, warmth, and personality. Attentive without hovering, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely engaging—they made the entire experience feel elevated and personal. Their recommendations were spot-on, and their presence added a level of hospitality that you don’t come across every day.
Lindsay and Vanessa didn’t just provide service—they created an experience.
Nice location at the hip quarter
Don’t stay here. It’s not safe for families. There is only one option for parking @ $70 for valet otherwise you have to park at a public lot somewhere else in Gaslamp District and walk. Mistakenly not realizing that, I asked the manager (Trevor) for a refund and I would stay somewhere else. He was not helpful. He said “he could refund the room but the reason (safety for family) was not a valid reason for canceling.
Location
Coffee
I love this hotel. The room is amazing and the restaurant food is amazing! Also, the workers were nice, and today's egg hunt was amazing. Last night I went to the terrace, and I had so much fun playing with Dad. The view from that bridge thing was awesome! I got to have some me time, and I got to look around. The sofa bed was the best idea! My room was by itself, so we did not have to worry about noise coming from the other guests. The bed was already made, which is why the bed was so clean and neat before I slept on it. The location was perfect. The atmosphere was good. The hallways were not that big. The value was pretty good. This hotel deserves 10 stars.
Thank you for an excellent experience end-to-end with our meetings! The event spaces, AV, and food and beverage exceed our expectations and we appreciate your care!
Good location
Waited for my room
Our group spent two full weeks at the Hilton Gaslamp for a global summit. The hotel is beautiful and very well appointed. The meeting rooms and food and beverage services were fantastic. The staff was phenomenal and I would highly recommend the Hilton Gaslamp to anyone whether for business or pleasure. The location was perfect. So many restaurants within walking distance made it so easy to get around.
We were early for our check in, and charged $25 for an early check in, which was fine. At least the hotel had a room available prior to the published check in time.
Room was comfortable and clean. Bed was a bit hard.!
Staff were friendly.
Tables in the restaurant were very close together, food was ok.
Bar was small, but staff were very good.
This hotel is in a great location, easy walking distance to many restaurants, shops in the Gaslamp district.
Was also a comfortable walk to Seaport Village and the USS Midway.
The trolley train is right outside the door, which made it super easy to get around town.
Only compliant is that at night it’s a bit noisy from the street noise, plus on Monday night, the freight train came through at 12:45 am, and must have been doing switching most of the early hours of the morning.
Overall a very nice hotel and good stay.
This is a modern mid-size hotel. The location is excellent, as Petco Park and many bars and restaurants are within easy walking distance. The trolley line is also close.
As for the hotel itself, my room was of a normal size, with adequate work space, decent wifi and an appropriate number of outlets. The staff was friendly, and my room was immaculate.
Great hotel, very clean and comfortable. Would recommend.
Definitely a mixed bag. Service in the restaurant was excellent, location is good, rooms are large if a little odd (odd deadspace by the closet, no desk or chair, just a high top and stool). Bed and pillows okay, probably need to replaced soon. Gym on the terrace floor has a decent amount of equipment. Rooms could be cleaned better, found long black hairs in the shower. Drains partially clogged so you can’t run the shower too long. No hot water in the afternoon but mornings okay. Iron cracked (electrocution hazard?) and coffee maker hasn’t been cleaned for a few years. The only truly bad part was denying me their chintzy $15 meal credit because I booked on a third party site. Guess Hilton can’t afford the super lofty, amazing food credit.
Que estaba muy limpio y confortable, además la ubicación excelente
I loved the Hotel, but we ate in the Wild Hare cafe there. Melissa is the greatest! She was attentive, intentional, friendly, and professional. Please promote her!! She is so great it is as if Conrad Hilton himself came back from his reward to train her! I wish more people were like her- so please, promote her to places of influence and mentorship!
