was asked to pay for breakfast on one occasion? the other times I had breakfast I was not asked to pay?
Did not make sense
i was told before I arrived and when i checked in that i could use the EV chargers for my car postioned at the rear of the hotel. When I went to use them I was then told they had been removed and that there are now no chargers available? this was frustrating.
Scenery and location
Construction work that I didn't know would be ongoing. Toilet didn't flush properly
Everything
Leaving
Good food
Impressive location
Large size of hotel made it a bit impersonal
Public areas lacked character
Lovely staff and good facilities
Needs a refresh
Good Central location for a short break excellent leisure facilities esp sauna and steam room
Breakfast was good but maybe a bit more variety of bread eg wheaten bread ciabatia crusty bread
On arrival I was checked into what seemed to be staff rooms, tiny room, not even a tunnock’s biscuit 🙁we checked in with family and were allocated as far away from each other as possible. Corridor to room smelt damp and musty, mixed in with dog smells.
A nicer room
Staff at Apex hotel amazing, Manager - Mark and receptionist-Sophie, Our complaint is not with the hotel it’s with Booking.com, as when we booked,
your company did not pass on it was our ruby anniversary to the hotel , once my husband mentioned this to the hotel staff, (mark and Sophie) they upgraded our room , and presented us with a Prosecco at dinner , these touches, made our stay special,
No complaints, hotel, cosy staff amazing, food good and clean rooms ,
The food was excellent & the room was very cosy & comfortable.
Nothing to dislike.
Clean staff friendly great accommodation and bar was lovely
Nothing
The property is absolutely stunning
A beautiful building
V nice breakfast
After a very long drive our first impression as we checked in was with a receptionist that didn't make us feel welcome and didn't smile and after a very long drive this really set the tone of our stay
As I walked around the hotel over the course of the stay it is apparent that the staff do not smile very much at all and managers may need to remind them that they are working in hospitality.
