Very disappointing
Pros:

Friendly staff

Cons:

Property is being refurbished at present and there is a restriction on parking spaces. Leisure facilities closed/ not available. Hotel is extremely tired looking and should be closed during renovations.

Pros:

Beautiful, peaceful location and a lovely historic building. Very comfortable bed. Excellent service from the bar and reception staff. They were especially accommodating of special dietary needs. We sat in a spacious lounge to eat dinner with an amazing view over the hotel grounds, the town of Dunblane and the hills beyond.

Cons:

Both the swimming pool and restaurant were closed for refurbishment, which wasn't made clear when I booked. I probably would have booked a different hotel with a pool if I'd known. The room was quite small and a bit cramped feeling.

Fair but not worth the money and not member focused
Pros:

Pretty grounds and inside

Cons:

The room, the price. The price of dinner for the portions and the little choice. It was cheaper on booking.com and they didn’t care even though I am member so booked through there.

Fab hotel, really well presented and great location to use as your gateway to the highlands.
Pros:

Lovely building with superb grounds at the front.

Cons:

All good, undergoing modernisation at one of the accommodation blocks but well managed and didn’t affect our stay.

Pros:

Beautiful room, grounds

Cons:

Having to carry heavy suitcases up flights of stairs, no elevator working, staff offered to help but said no one available to help.

A pleasant stay in a beautiful building that is definitely in of some TLC and modernisation.
Pros:

Great location; the superior twin had a great panoramic bay window with views out to the hills; easy access to local walks. Free access to the swimming pool in the building next door was nice.

Cons:

En suite had dust and hairs on the floor; staff were pleasant but not particularly well-trained (I.e. not greeting you again after you’d checked in; bar staff needing prompted to bring basics like cutlery, condiments and plates (!)). Food quality in the bar restaurant didn’t match the price.
