The property was really nice
The rooms could do with updating
Staff were all excellent and breakfast was as good as it gets. We took our dog so ate in the bar and on the outside terrance, which was great.
Not many places to walk the dog as the golf course took up most of the outside space. There was a small dog area but we like a good walk. No ground floor rooms which we thought could be an issue in the night, but our dog was fine going down the lift and outside.
I didn't play golf, but the golf course looked fantastic, parking is good, and the ambience of the reception is good. In fairness it was cheap to stay, but maybe I should have read more into that!
Room grubby and smelt stale, windows peeling and rotting, gents changing rooms dirty (used clumps of tissue here and there), general feeling of no one cares enough to clean things.

They gave us room keys for a room that hadn’t been cleaned. The new room they allocated had dirty cups from the previous guest, missing hairdryer, wet bathroom !

The bar was very expensive
We arrived around 12:00 and completely understood that check-in was officially at 3:00 pm. However, we were disappointed that the reception staff made no effort to see whether a room might already be available. They said they would need to contact housekeeping, but never actually did. We explained that we had an event starting at 4:00 pm, but the only solution offered was to use the pool changing rooms. This was hardly practical when travelling with large suitcases and needing to properly get changed and prepare for an event. We were simply told not to come back before 3:00 pm.
When we returned at 3:00 pm, there was a long queue and we had to wait another 30 minutes to check in. Unfortunately, despite having waited several hours, the room was still not properly prepared: there was no duvet for my daughter's bed, the windows were dirty, there was no bottled water and no refrigerator. Even in much less expensive hotels, we have had bottled water and a proper coffee machine in the room. Here, there was no Nespresso machine and the coffee provided was not very good.
Breakfast was also disappointing for the price (£17 when booked in advance, £21 on the day). The selection was fairly basic, the bread was poor, and we expected more from a Hilton at this price point.
The hotel itself is pleasant and the location is fine, but the service and attention to detail were not what we expected. One exception was Chin, who was genuinely lovely and helpful, both at check-in and later when he personally brought the missing duvet to our room. The lady at check-out was also very pleasant.
Overall, we expected a much better level of service and attention to detail from a Hilton and left feeling disappointed.
Food was ok and comfortable bed
Staff, too cold air conditioning too high everywhere! Bad bathroom facilities, cannot use sink plug stuck in sink and no maintenance on site at all. Water all over bathroom floor. Everything you asked for in hotel staff had to check with somebody and never got done. Very bad hotel definitely not Hilton standards would not recommend to anybody.

Upon arrival they gave the children chocolate and lollies and a hot chocolate voucher and then they gave us a free drink and cake in the room

No AC and windows couldn’t be opened enough to cool the room down, was unbearably hot and ruined our stay.
