Lovely Stay Overall Only A 9 Due To Room Service Faff But Would Stay Again

It Was A Lovely Location! We Stayed In Room December And It Was A Good Size, Clean And Comfy Ideal For A Child Free Night Away! The Staff At Breakfast Were Lovely My Partner Has Recently Had A Stroke And They Were Fantastic With Helping Me Organise A Tray And Letting Us Both Have Breakfast In The Room Together.

Cons:

It Was A Bit Of A Faff With Room Service In The Evening We Asked About It When We Checked In The Lady Was Lovely And Just Explained Calling A Number And Gave Us A Menu And Advised We Could Add An Extra Course. It Took A While To Get Through We Ended Up Calling Reception And They Got Us Through. Then They Couldn’t Take Our Order We Had To Call Back We Finally Managed To Order And Upgrade And Then They Called Back After Saying They Couldn’t As Theres No Card On File, Which Meant Going To Reception Too Add One, Which I Did. Then Had To Call Them Back And Then Ask To Reorder And Then Told A Long Wait. It Didn’t Actually Take That Long And The Two Women Who Delivered Were Lovely But It Was Missing Our Desserts Which She Had To Go Back Then Bring Them Later. When Returning She Brought A Card Machine Which Meant There Was No Need For Me To Leave My Partner Alone To Add A Card At Reception, So A Bit Of A Faff.

Pleasant and relaxing.
Pros:

Breakfast is quite extensive and good quality. The room was comfortable, the bathroom dispensers contained good quality product (and the bathroom was roomy also). Dinner was good. Staff attentive, friendly and efficient.

Cons:

The noise of the air conditioning fans outside our room was somewhat intrusive, there was only one green tea bag supplied and the other tea / coffee making supplies were not really sufficient in quantity.

Would defo stay again lovely Hotel in a beautiful Golfy setting .
Pros:

The room was lovely eventually , dinner on the room meal plan was very basic !!!! breakfast was good .

Cons:

The room bathroom was very dirty on arrival ,but Chin the manager went up and beyond to make everything right for us , very impressed . These things happen ! We moved rooms with no worries , Chin made sure we were truly looked after from there on Chin and his team Zara and Oliver treated us very very well . They are very good staff and a credit to the Hilton .

High price tag for a bland experience - very disappointing
Pros:

The setting is lovely in that the grounds with the golfing make it peaceful and well looked after. It was nice to enjoy drinks on the terrace in the sunshine, enjoying the swing chairs. The squirrels playing around were sweet and relaxing to watch. The welcome and care given to our dogs was appreciated - bowls of fresh water and treats. The mattress was comfortable as were the pillows and the towels were soft and nice on the skin. Staff was excellent and tried its best to improve and compensate the poor experience.

Cons:

The golf club actually limited the enjoyment of walking the dogs. The hotel does not allow you to leave the dogs unattended in the room. The restaurant lacks warmth and we booked the only table with charm (in a bay window) meaning the dogs would need to be left in the car. On arriving at the restaurant we noted that the table was given to other clients so we went to get the dogs and ate in the pub area. The meal was sad looking and lacked flavour despite a very high price tag - staff offered us drinks as a means of compensation but we declined. When I went to my bedroom, I notice some darker shades under the duvet cover - upon checking, the duvet was stained with blood. I contacted reception who immediately offered me another room as well as help to move, a free drink and a free breakfast. I declined all of these and asked for the duvet to be replaced which they promptly did.

Excellent hotel for a country break with family or friends.
Pros:

Beautiful location, great pool. The hotel is very family friendly. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Fantastic breakfast.

Cons:

The only negative to the hotel is that there is no air conditioning in the rooms. The room was too warm so we slept with the window open, which meant we were woken earlier than we would have liked by the sound of beer barrels being moved around outside.

It was good all round but not excellent
Pros:

Room was good, Breakfast Good, Dinner menu could be improved, as it is very bland however the food was good. Dinner staff could be more cheerful.
