10/10 will stay here again. Value for money and a top tier breakfast buffet with service & a smile
Pros:

Very easy check-in with some hiccups with key cards (new system being put in during our stay) that was swiftly put right. Breakfast was amazing and top quality, you really can’t do better in Douglas. Staff all very friendly and helpful. The health suite is excellent and has great opening times. Location superb

Cons:

Could do with a lick of paint but it’s clean, comfortable and convenient.

Genial and pleasant.
Pros:

Friendly staff create a homely, almost community, feel about the place.

Cons:

Yes it's scruffy in places but overall it's improving. Shame food service stops at 9pm, just a bit early if arriving off a late flight.

Pros:

As said before, the room let the hotel down. The room was facing the car park, the heat was intense, the fan didn't cut it. Opening the window is an option when the machinery calms down. The rooms could also do with a refresh.
On the positive side, the food is excellent, the staff friendly and the facilities make it a 4 star with pool, jacuzzi and gym.
Never used the slots or casino but there if you fancy it.
Lookys bar is fine too, and even cheaper than some of the local pubs.

One of the worst hotels I stayed in

If you’re looking for a genuine 4-star hotel experience, keep driving.

The rooms were like sleeping inside a pizza oven whenever the weather got warm. Three nights of trying to survive the heat should probably count as an endurance sport.

Housekeeping must have been on annual leave because not once during my stay did anyone service the room. No fresh towels, no clean bedding… nothing. By the first night, some of the lights had also given up, which at least made it harder to see how tired the room looked.

To be fair, the bar and casino have had a nice upgrade. Unfortunately, that’s where the investment seems to have stopped. Once you leave those areas, the hotel feels like it’s been forgotten.

Calling this a 4-star hotel is incredibly generous. I’d struggle to give it 2 stars, let alone 4. The only thing that was consistently hot was the room.

A very disappointing stay, and sadly not one I’d recommend.
