The downstairs access was very good for my 2 disabled companions.
The restaurant food was nice when we were allowed to use it.

We were placed in a room just above a huge kitchen extractor fan!

Extremely poor visit, to say this hotel is dated is an understatement. It couldn't look further from the truth on the website and the other reviews say it all. The front entrance is like something from the 1970's, squeaky glass door and unwelcoming lobby area rings alarm bells straight away. The walk upstairs to the room sees a worn carpet, hand rails either chipped or missing paint. The whole feel of the place is one of it needs so much TLC. The room (216) is the same - worn carpet, worn & stained chairs, a very noisy room as it overlooks a flat roof with some sort of constant generator noise meaning you have to close the window to get any sort of peace. The shower is either scolding hot one minute and freezing cold the next. The kettle had a split in the front so water leaked everywhere, somewhat of a H & S issue. Cannot believe that the company care that little of how a hotel should look and not expect some constructive criticism when it doesn't really meet the basic standard of what you would expect from what is classified on the website as a 4 star hotel. Believe me it is far away from that rating. The 1 star is no reflection on the staff, mainly in the restaurant, who were really good.

Had a 3 night stay and room wasn't serviced at all throughout the stay despite being out for a good chunk of the day. Had to get replacement tea/coffee room supplies ourselves.
Room was clean which is always the basic which is good and breakfast staff were friendly.
Property is incredibly dated, overpriced and staff (other than breakfast) were incredibly rude, unhelpful and not welcoming at all. Management were emailed and no resolution offered.

Could put a rail for shower head to go up/down. If long hair don't want to wash every time you shower.

The views were spectacular, most of the staff were friendly ,polite and professional, great choice of food breakfast and evening meal. I loved how clean the room was and the attention to detail from the hospitality staff, nothing was too much trouble including accessing fresh towels.
Staff training, just one member of reception staff had no insight into making customers feel welcome, rude and condescending. I had issues with my key card from the very first day which continued until I left 4 days later. She blamed me for placing the key card next to my phone (assumption), then refused to accept that I had kept the key card in a separate pocket having understood that the magnetic strip can be affect by phones, magnets etc. On the last day I approached the hospitality staff who initially had the same problem with my key. After three attempts the key card worked, she explained that they were having lots of issue with the key cards.
