Hampton Inn Carbondale

All was perfect but pool was not operational but I knew that a head of time

I didn't like the tone of voice a staff member had when she spoke to me and another staff member. Or the simple fact she questioned if she really needed to come down and help the employee when the said employee called her for help.

Staff was not friendly. Pool was closed which was the reason for booking that hotel. No ice available. I want a refund

Sliding door malfunction

One of the side entry doors had a missing handle & therefore it did not close. The door remained wide open the entire time myself & my partner stayed from Thursday to Sunday. It felt very unsafe as anyone without a room would be able to just walk in & not even have to come past the front desk. They could just go straight to the elevator & go wherever needed & that should not be the case. There was also no security in sight. I also visited the lobby restroom & the toilet was overflowing with tissue. I went into the men’s restroom because I really needed to go & it smelled horrid. I also should mention that the swimming pool was shut down my entire stay as well & that put a damper in my plans.

Pool and hot tub wasn’t working and we didn’t know until we got there which was the whole reason we booked this hotel.

Pool out of order. Hairblower was missing. Could hear footsteps above us in the late evenings
No eashroom by lobby.

The room was cold and was very noisy with construction. Elevators had exposed wires and was unsafe. A warning of construction would have been nice. What i paid was way too much for all that mess and loudness .

The coffee was lukewarm and bad. The pool was advertised on the site I booked from but when we got there was closed and had been for a while. The room we were originally given the toilet was broken and the maintenance had been in there fixing the tub which still needed to be caulked. The hallway was freezing, the elevator was rickety. Shelves were falling off the walls in the first room. The tub in the 2nd room was dangerously slippery.

I didnt like that the pool was closed. If we had known that when booking, we wouldn't have chose this hotel. My little boys were very disappointed. I also didn't like that you could get inside the hotel from any door without scanning your key to get inside the building. That is not safe at all. There were several items on the breakfast bar that was empty and no worker around to refill the food items. There was a very foul smell, like a sewer smell in our hallway. The hotel in general was dirty. We will be back in Carbondale in a couple weeks and we will definitely not be booking a room at this hotel again.

There were no hot eggs, or meat.
Food area was not really clean. Everything was
syrup sticky. Dry cereal was hard to get out of the
Container. Had to open the top and dig it out.
The breakfast worker was in a very dirty apron
That was disgusting. Left our breakfast
after seeing her.
