Staff was very helpful, room was clean and cozy
There was a gap in the seal of the window and it was windy out so the air coming from that gap plus the air entering the ac unit made it sound like there was a jet taking off outside of my window all day Sunday and into the next day. Staff gave me packing tape to try to fix it 😐
Check in was smooth
The staff Karen was very rude & unpleasant
Close to highway
Actively working on remodeling/renovation—parts done were beautiful but pool was closed
We were traveling through and stopped extremely late, after midnight, and decided to grab a room at the Hampton Inn in Terre Haute. The total came to about $172, which I thought was a bit high, but at that point we were tired and just needed a place to sleep.
My wife, our baby, and I finally got into the room around 12:45 AM and went straight to bed.
The next morning when I woke up and went into the bathroom to take a shower, I noticed hair on the floor of the shower and hair coming out of the drain. It was pretty obvious the shower hadn’t been properly cleaned. At that point it wasn’t worth making a big deal out of it, so I wiped it out myself and took a shower.
When we checked out around 9:00 AM to get back on the road, I casually mentioned it to the front desk just so housekeeping could keep an eye out for that kind of thing. Instead of a simple apology, the lady at the desk asked if I had called the front desk the night before. I explained that we didn’t arrive until almost 1:00 in the morning and didn’t even look at the shower until the next day.
Her response was: “Well I wish you would have called last night because we could have tried to make it right.”
That response honestly rubbed me the wrong way, like it didn’t matte at this point. After arriving that late with a baby and paying that much for a room, the last thing I’m going to do is perform a 65-point inspection at 1:00 AM before going to bed.
For the price we paid, I expected a clean bathroom and a more professional response.
Positive note: The lady working the breakfast area the next morning was extremely kind and respectful, and she was the highlight of the stay.
Even though the location was under construction, everything was good and the night clerk was very accommodating.
Not deluxe but clean, comfortable, and decent, above average hot breakfast. Staff were all friendly. Eileen as hostess at breakfast was very hospitable!
I liked Kiki she really was helpful l, kind and patient when key cards wouldn’t work in 503 and she moved me into 502 . She made sure I was comfortable and apologized for the issue and made it a seamless transition to the other room.
The battery went bad in the key card entry box
not much other than new mattress
was not told under renovation. king mattress twin size pillows, phone did not work, no clock, no plug by coffee pot had to move it to bathroom than plug in over sink!!!! coffee supplied terrible like water no ice on our floor had to go to 5th floor for ice. 2 senior citizens with canes! this was not a good experience don’t think i would stay at another Hampton Inn after this experience.
Bed comfortable. Clean rooms, hot shower.
Nothing
Location was nice. Just off the interstate.
Breakfast was horrible. There were only three of the large individually wrapped muffins. This was at 6:15. A.m.. instant oatmeal was displayed in the packing box, so were the napkins. Eggs were very watery.
There was no Greek yogurt to eat or milk to drink. Worst breakfast of our whole trip.
Cleanliness
Excessive noises. Loud machinery/construction noises all day long.
Everything from employees to facility was excellent
