Overcharged, double!!!
Pros:

I just stayed there this weekend. At check-in, they placed a $700 hold on my bank card for the full amount of the stay. Then, at checkout, I was charged the full amount again, meaning I essentially needed to have double the cost of my stay available in my account. I’ve stayed at many Hilton properties and have never experienced this before. I was told the original $700 hold would eventually be released and that I should contact my bank. This policy really should be clearly communicated to guests ahead of time, especially since it can tie up a significant amount of money.

Overall good
Pros:

The room was very comfortable and very clean. The bed was good, there were plenty of towels, it seemed like some thought went into the room.

Cons:

We were on the fourth floor and every night around 2am a loud background noise was heard. We weren't sure if it was from AC units on the roof or what. If you've ever been stationed on a Navy ship, it sounded like the engine. It was loud enough at times to cause vibrations in the room. But during the day, we never heard it.

Also, it's crap they charge you $18 to park. So, you're going to walk there from the airport?

Will definitely stay again close to Downtown Del Mar and also Del Mar Race Track

Was a great location for the wedding festivities we travel for, location to beaches, zoo etc.
Pros:

Location to highway.

I did not like to see the lovely front arrival area being pressure washed especially in light of the dryness and lack of rain in the west.
