Lalit Srinagar is an exceptional hotel, property spans 32 Acres, overlooking the stunning Dal lake. Despite severe cold weather, staff put up a fantastic show. Manager Shyam is an excellent host along with Ajaz. Housekeeper who took care of my Cottage and the guards at the front office took great care of us. Room Service responded on time with our requests on all 4 nites despite sub zero temperatures. It was our 25th Anniversary, Ajaz ensured that our room was all decked up for our special day and even sent a lovely cake. Thank you. Another aspect of Lalit is property's connection with Royalty and Bollywood, they have a in house TV program showcasing Bollywood memories and it is wonderful a must watch. Highlight of the stay was me visiting the room where Movie Kabhi Kabhi's famous song "Main Pal Do Pal Ka Shayar hu" was shot...It was really beautiful experience. Lastly, the Kashmiri Kawa drink is a must try.
I felt the food prices were a little overpriced. Meal for 2 can easily cost upwards of INR 6.5K, this is of course without Alcohol.
The garden was delightful
The chinar dining room needs a complete .make over very dreary and dark
Just the garden and outside view of the building.
The rooms, very dated and require a much needed renovation and upgrade. Not sure how it’s rated a 5 star?
Not worth the money. Food quality needs a much needed upgrade
Greenery
My room was not what I had seen in Booking.com
Exceptional services, Mr.Shyam in Foods services was the best. He has shown the inside of the hotel with proper explanation.
Every thing was beyond expectation.
View was the probably the best part off saying there.
The bathrooms were quite cramped, and the rooms felt very old-school — the whole place is really in need of a renovation. I also found the food extremely overpriced, especially at the bar where they only had one beer option. It felt very much like a “take it or leave it” situation. Overall, I couldn’t justify the cost given the current state of the facilities.
The huge lawns, close to Dal Lake
Nothing worth mentioning
