Jederzeit wieder, aber mit ausdrücklichem Hinweis, kein Zimmer im Untergeschoss zu akzeptieren

Der Service war ausgezeichnet! Das Rezeptionsteam jederzeit erreichbar, bemüht, einfühlsam und immer höflich & freundlich. Die Lobby war hell, sauber und hatte ein angenehmes Ambiente zum Wohlfühlen. Generell hatte das Gebäude den Charme eines authentischen, typisch britischen Wohnhauses in guter Lage. Die Lage war trotz der Nähe zur viel befahrenen Brompton Street ausgesprochen ruhig.

Cons:

Leider wurde unserer Bitte nach 3 Zimmern, die in der Nähe zueinander liegen, nicht entsprochen - eines unserer 3 Zimmer war weit von den beiden anderen entfernt. Enttäuscht waren wir von der Tatsache, dass die beiden nahe beieinander liegenden Zimmer im Untergeschoß lagen. Obwohl beide über Fenster verfügten, konnten diese nicht über die "Kelleratmosphäre" hinweghelfen. Ein entsprechender Hinweis bei Zimmerbuchung wäre vortehilhaft.

Fabulous
Pros:

The room was huge and extremely clean and comfortable. It was a wonderful hotel. The tea and scones in the afternoon, upon arrival, was a very welcome extra and having breakfast brought to my room meant I could get ready for the day in a very relaxed manner.

Cons:

That I only stayed for one night.

The location and the junior suite size

Cons:

First day they gave me a very small suite, not like the pictures I saw in their junior suite picture options
The lift is so outdated and it’s very small, very slow and have an metal door which is extremely heavy

Loved the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.
Pros:

The beauty of the hotel and including the beauty of the street it was on. I enjoyed the Lyft too. Not used to seeing and old style elevator. Most important of all was the staff, absolutely friendly kind and courteous. I should say very helpful too. The size of the bathroom was great.

Cons:

The arrangement of the room, difficult to move around the bed. We felt the price for the breakfast was too high. The size of the Lyft was not desirable. We had to deal with the bathroom to the bedroom ramp since the floors were on a different height.

Pros:

A localização é muito boa, perto do Harrods e dos museus. O hotel fica numa rua sem saída, bem tranquila.
O café da manhã foi servido no quarto e era muito gostoso.
Equipe do hotel super simpática.

Unfortunately, my experience with this hotel was extremely disappointing. Having stayed here multiple times in the past, I expected a higher level of professionalism and courtesy.
The hotel cancelled the booking on their end after the first night. I was then surprised to find that, 20 days after the cancellation, the full booking amount was charged to my credit card without any prior notice, despite the fact that I did not receive any service for the remainder of the reservation period.
I attempted to resolve the issue amicably, and the Booking.com support team kindly intervened to request an exception. However, the hotel did not respond to repeated inquiries as expected and refused to refund the amount, even though the cancellation was initiated by them. Instead of addressing the amount charged to my credit card 20 days after the cancellation, they offered future discounts, which was not an appropriate solution for the financial loss I incurred. I also felt there was no appreciation for my status as a recurring guest.
Based on this experience, I believe the way they handled the cancellation and the subsequent charge to my credit card 20 days later did not meet the standards I expected from this hotel; therefore, I do not recommend dealing with them.
