Pros:

Very lovely place, however the elevator is very old, slow and small. I am from the US and never experienced elevators like this. You have to open the gate and keep pushing it to get into the elevator. My mom who 93 had big problems using it as you have to be super strong to push the gate

Booked months in advance so really disappointed to be put in a basement room, no external light, no view except a wall and some dumped matresses. Breakfast at £35 that included some old, anaemic toast and nothing cooked was really poor.

Pros:

Quiet room, friendly helpful staff, nice room. Shower is goofy. Had to take a TINY elevator up to 4th floor, walk up another flight of stairs, go through a door, down a few more stairs, through another door to finally get to our room.

Charming 5th floor walk up (elevator available to the 4th floor). Lovely complementary tea. EXCELLENT location! Beds were comfortable. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. I will definitely stay again!

This hotel was in a beautiful location, on a beautiful street. It was a very charming looking. Staff were so attentive and professional: there was tea and scones in the lobby every day. The building is obviously old and the elevator is tiny (3 trips down for luggage), but not an issue …just fyi. The room was clean, but just a bit in need of an update. Would. Not probably pay for the breakfast option again…it was good, just pretty limited.

Hated to leave and would absolutely go back here, in fact hope to.

Comfortable and cute in a safe and quiet neighborhood, yet just right around the corner from a hummmm of activities!

Tea and scones in the afternoon were an extra special treat, as well.
