Very enjoyable with friendly staff and a great location
Pros:

Breakfast was good with a good choice for a continental. Rooms were very comfortable, staff very friendly and in a very good location. Ideally could have with a fridge in the room and a bar on the roof terrace.

GREAT MIDTOWN HOTEL
Pros:

Great hotel in midtown manhattan. Location was excellent. The king suite was spacious with a separate area for our son. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were nice and helpful. Continental breakfast was adequate. Would stay here again

A very memorable stay
Pros:

We chose Giraffe hotel after doing research on various platforms and pleased to say we were very happy with the way it worked out. We needed a king suite because our son was staying with us. The sofa converted to a very comfortable double bed. I would normally have expected a cooked breakfast in the mornings, however the light continental option was more than adequate (and probably healthier).

All the staff were friendly and helpful. A special thanks to Sam, who helped us locate a lost mobile phone. (when we had some spare tickets to a show that we couldn't make.. it was perfect for Sam to have those as a reward!)

All in all the Giraffe hotel was perfect for us.. thanks to all concerned!

Simply excellent
Pros:

I absolutely love this hotel. Probably one of the best I’ve stayed it. Service is amazing. Love I can get a latte anytime of day. They also always have snacks . The room is large, beds comfy. The staff so helpful. My only one caveat and they don’t really have control of this it the street noise is real, it’s loud and constant. I will say, I am a light sleeper and I did manage to sleep somehow but even with ear plugs you will hear the street noise. Also, we did have to take cabs and public transportation a bit to get to places like SoHo and the theater. But there are plenty of restaurants and stores near by as well.

God beliggenhet, skuffende frokost
Pros:

God beliggenhet. Kort vei til restauranter, butikker og undergrunnsbane. Stort rom med separat soverom og oppholdsrom.

Cons:

Frokosten var svært enkel og skuffende. Det gjør at vi ikke velger dette hotellet flere ganger på tross av god beliggenhet.

Posizione perfetta per visitare la città. È l’unico hotel che avesse la colazione inclusa e, anche se abbastanza ridotta (bagel, pane, cereali e yogurt ma niente salato) era ottima!

The location was perfect and we were able to get to the property with little effort, enjoy a nice late lunch at a convenient local pub still get cleaned up in plenty of time for our evening plans.

Cons:

I arrived at the hotel in the early afternoon and asked whether an early check-in might be available. The guest immediately ahead of me made the same request and was accommodated, while I was told that my room was not yet ready. That was understandable, so I checked my bags with the hotel and went to lunch.

When I returned at the posted 3:00 p.m. check-in time, I was again informed that my room was still not ready, with no explanation beyond that. After waiting an additional 30 minutes—and after several discussions with the front desk—I was finally able to check in.

The delayed check-in was disappointing, particularly since another guest with the same request had been accommodated earlier and no explanation or proactive communication was provided regarding the delay.

Upon entering our room, we discovered that while the air conditioning was operational, the unit was leaking and had soaked a section of the carpet. By that point, we were already running late for our evening plans and had little choice but to continue with our stay.

I was grateful that the air conditioning was at least functioning, especially during the sweltering Fourth of July weekend in New York City. However, given the cost of the room and the hotel’s reputation, I expected a higher standard of service. Better communication regarding the delayed check-in, a room that was fully prepared upon arrival, or at least an acknowledgment of the issue and an offer to accommodate the inconvenience would have gone a long way.

We have stayed at many hotels worldwide. Hotel Giraffe has been one of the top, if not the best one.
Pros:

Excellent customer service, great location (midway between Times Square and SoHo with close access to subway on 28th St.), very good continental breakfast. We booked the King Suite and its layout with a separate living room and sofa bed was perfect for the three of us (two adults and a teenager.) A hidden gem and we will definitely stay there again.

Cons:

We liked everything.
