The room was excellent with a great view of Croagh Patrick and Clew bay. Breakfast and bar staff were all very friendly and efficient. Location was also very good, only a 15 minute walk to town centre.
Small thing but the television reception was not too good. Kept buffering and stalling.
What a gem! The bed was so comfy, the breakfast was delicious, the short walk into town along the greenway was perfect. We loved this Hotel and will come back again. Soon!
Beautiful hotel in a great location. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We booked a suite which was amazing and the cleanest hotel room we've ever stayed in. Jacuzzi was a lovely bonus. Food in both restaurant and bar was very good.
The only let down was the hot breakfast. The scrambled eggs were rubbery and the bacon, sausages and pudding were not great quality, in our opinion. Good selection at buffet table but the Full Irish was disappointing.
absolutely nothing other than the pleasant staff. There is little to like in this relic. Unfortunately, this page will not let me upload a video of the wonderful plumbing system.
The hotel is tired, outdated, and in desperate need of renovation. The plumbing is unreliable, making loud noises whenever the tap is used. Bathrooms lack character, the rooms haven't been updated since the 1980s, and the bar is unwelcoming and cold. Without furniture, the space would be completely empty and lifeless. The carpet in my room was dangerously uneven, and there wasn't even soap provided in the showers. The upstairs toilets near the breakfast room were filthy after an event the previous night, reinforcing the impression that the place is a relic of the past. Paying €350 for one night felt like a complete rip-off. While the hotel may have been decent years ago, it's disappointing to see the lack of investment. Additionally, there are no power outlets by the bed to charge devices, which further highlights the hotel's age. The breakfast is absolutely average. Overall, it's a 3-star hotel, pool or not.
Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast and food in general was top class. Jordan deserves a special mention - he is one of the nicest and most professional staff members we've met.
Pool was very cold.
Knockranny house was delightful,
We called ahead of arrival & we were allocated a very comfortable double room early .
Our TV didn’t work properly- we wanted to watch a rugby match .
Clean tidy v v quite comfortable and warm . Very spacious
View from the restaurant and the beds were super comfortable! Breakfast excellent!
Room wasn’t available at 230…midweek I would have thought at 230 it would be. Of course I appreciate checking is at 4 but most properties would accommodate that. They also tried to put a 4% surcharge for Amex even though neither in booking.com or their hotel app mentions a 4% surcharge and Amex is listed as a method of payment.
Great hotel and facilities.
