Pros:

It was quiet and a short walk to fishermans warf the staff is beyond friendly I will be back
There are areas where to can sit and enjoy a drink or coffee.

Great property for historic stay and affordable
Pros:

Very Nice older property with historic and paranormal significance. Great downtown location at affordable rates. Nicely furnished mostly in early 20th century furnishing. Very personable clerk. Hotel parking is Valet and $39 per night. City parking 1/2 block up the street at $1.50/hour or $8.00/day and free from 6 PM to 9 AM.

Clean room, friendly, great location
Pros:

Stayed there to see a show at the Golden West Theater across the street. Clean room, comfortable bed, friendly staff, water cooler on every floor, classy styling, one block to good food and shopping, water pressure a bit light, some urban noise but that goes with being downtown. Overall a great experience at a good price especially if you use the self park city garages nearby.

Amazing value hotel for visitors of Monterey
Pros:

Great central location within walking distance to the wharf and touching distance of all the main attractions of Monterey. Very good value, but you get what you pay for in some aspects. Very antiquated hotel with poor ventilation, but that could be the charm some go for. Elevator is sus but responsive. The “fitness center” has like three things and the staff straight up recommend you get a day pass elsewhere lol. Valet service is quick and very attentive, as are the rest of the staff. Great, consistent service, and you can tell they pay attention to the general upkeep of the building and their offered services.

Pros:

location was great, I knew it was an old hotel, but carpets were very dirty looking which made it look unclean. I took my fiancé for a Birthday trip and was a bit embarrassed by the room.
