A good choice for the money & service
Pros:

Location, staff, in-house dining, proximity to buses, still Irish water, quick room service, coffee machine made good small coffee

While the hotel is beautiful our experience as disappointing.
Pros:

The location of the hotel was excellent. The staff was very friendly. The drinks and food at the bar were delicious. The hotel is lovely. Breakfast was good and a decent price for someone who likes a hearty breakfast.

Cons:

Honestly, it was the little things that ended up tarnishing our experience at the hotel. There was no bath mat 2 out of the 3 nights, so we had to put a hand towel on the floor instead. The bathroom only had space to hang one towel, which meant neither of our towels ever dried. We also had to request in-room coffee supplies 2 out of the 3 nights we stayed.
The biggest issue, though, was sleeping. The bed was positioned directly under the air conditioner, so cold air blew on us throughout the night whenever it was running. The bed only came with a thick duvet and no top sheet. The first night, we spent the entire night alternating between being too cold and too hot. On the second night, we asked for a blanket, but were told the hotel didn’t have any—only extra sheets or duvet covers. We tried to make that work, but ended up dealing with the same problem all over again: too cold, then too hot, then too cold again. We couldn’t open the window to try and regulate the temperature because it overlooked the fire station so it was loud. Our friends complained about their room and were upgraded but for us not being able to sleep well was quite disappointing for the money we spent.

Pros:

Beautiful hotel, great location. Easily walkable to city center, restaurants, shopping, bars, entertainment, library, etc.

The beds, pillows, and linens were the most comfortable of any hotel i have ever stayed in. We all slept very well.
