The location, the aesthetic, the friendly staff
The first room we were in smelled very musty and there was no option to open the window, which was not great for my asthma. The staff were helpful in moving us to a new room the next day.
Good location, decent price.
FIRST NIGHT, a mouse or rat (not sure) entered my room. I called the lobby (they took some time to answer), and I requested help. The guy at the lobby told me they had no other rooms to move me to, and that they had no one to send to help me. So I asked point blank if that was it, if I had to deal with the mouse myself and he said "yes".
I had to leave the hotel to find another one, but being 2 AM, no hotel would check me in (most were completely full too). I had to spend a night wandering through the streets of New Orleans, with no hotel, and had to then reserve a new hotel, which of course was WAY more expensive, seeing as I had to reserve it from one day to another. I asked the manager for them to pay for the difference in price (considering I reserved one night less on the new hotel, the difference wasn't that high), and he said he couldn't do it.
Overall, the WORST experience I've EVER had staying at any hotel. If you can, you should stay away.
Alles bestens
The hotel is in a fantastic location and is a great base for exploring New Orleans. We really enjoyed the city, and the location made the stay even better. The valet was exceptionally kind and helpful, and stood out for his professionalism and positive attitude. We also want to mention the staff in the hotel’s dining area, who were friendly and welcoming.
We booked and paid for a balcony room, and that was the main reason we chose this hotel. It was therefore very disappointing to be told on arrival that the room we had reserved was no longer available. Instead, we were given a ground-floor room facing the courtyard, where other guests could stand right outside our window and look directly in, leaving us with no privacy. The front desk staff were rude and unhelpful and seemed more interested in blaming Booking than in resolving the issue. In addition, the bathroom was not properly cleaned during our stay. Overall, this felt very misleading and was a disappointing experience.
Location for family adventures in New Orleans is central to most sites. The king suite room we were in was very well designed and the door directly to the dipping pool was a nice touch.
Breakfast took a very long time to wait on even when coming first thing in the morning. The air conditioning in our room didn’t work and wouldn’t kick in so the room stayed between 70 & 72 degrees day and night. The hallways were cooler than the room at times. There was a dirty towel left under a long curtain from the previous occupant and an oversized trash bag stayed in the hallway by another’s door for several hours before staff took care of it. The pool was extremely cold. A heater in the cooler months would greatly benefit the space.
Great location
Unique
Great staff and facilities were clean and comfortable.
IHG points don’t transfer when using booking or other outside agencies.
Läget var finfint. Egen lugn terras mitt bland skyskraporna.
Mysiga innergårdar även en med en liten pool
Lite dålig kommunikation vad som gällde vid frukosten. Var olika varje dag
Comfort and beauty of hotel.
Parking cost a bit pricey
Check in and check out were both very smooth, and they were very helpful with storing luggage and getting me set up with a taxi to take me to the airport (take taxis to and from the airport in NOLA, as it's a flat fee unlike ride share apps) and even contacting the taxi service and troubleshooting with me when the taxi was held up in traffic and late to arrive.
My room was basic but very neat and nicely decorated with nice high ceilings. The bed was super comfortable and I slept like a baby. I will say if you're an early sleeper the area might still be a little bit loud for you (there is a wedding venue right next door so the festivities can cause noise) but the noise in the area generally died down by 10pm. The curtains are very light blocking although my room did have a skylight so if you require absolute darkness for sleep you may want to inquire about that. I personally liked the skylight as the windows were small and the added natural light helped a lot with the lighting in the room.
The shower water pressure was great and heated up quickly.
Nothing I can think of
