The area
The elevator was broken
good location, value for money, very clean rooms.
my room was little noisy at times, breakfast was very basic, not very appetising.
It is very nice place and the location is very good, not too far to Galleria, anytime am in Houston is a very nice place to stay.
The breakfast is good but I think they can do better.
There were a variety of breakfast options to choose from and the area was clean. The hallways and room were clean and comfortable.
The room was supposed to be ready at 3, we arrived at 5:30 and the room was not ready. We were told it would be another 30 minutes. We had a concert we needed to get to, so we were rushing to get ready by the time we got our room. We were also given an inactive key so we had to waste more time going back down to the office and get a new one. When asked if there was any compensation for the inconvenience of the room being late in getting ready, we were told no, nothing was offered, not even a free night parking, snack, or drink.
Loved it. Super comfy. Super clean
I overlooked the fact that parking was not included.
Rooms weren’t ready when they were suppose to be and wasn’t offered any kind of discount or anything to help
Everything
Everything
The bed was so comfy, and the room was very clean. The kitchenette is wonderful. There were even pots and pans and a mini electrive stove. I didn't cook, but you would have everything you need to make a meal. There was plenty of parking also.
The only thing that sucked was the blow dryer would only work outside of the bathroom, and it only had a low setting. I could have asked for a replacement, but I wasn't there much, and it was only 2 nights, so I didn't bother. Also, it didn't mention on booking.com that parking is $25/night. That's typical for this area, but part of the reason I chose this place was that I didn't think I had to pay for parking.
Everything is ok. One of the rare Cat 1 hotel with Hyatt in Houston. Nothing particular, but free full breakfast is probably the best part of perks.
Letto
La ragazza della reception
If zero stars were an option, that’s what this place deserves.
I’ve stayed at many Hyatt Place locations before, and they have always been great. Unfortunately, Hyatt House Galleria Houston was a complete letdown and easily the worst Hyatt experience I’ve ever had.
1. Rude and unprofessional front desk staff
From day one, the receptionist was not welcoming and failed to properly explain where guests are supposed to park. For three days, we parked in front of the hotel because no one told us otherwise. On our last night, another receptionist rudely stopped my wife and our 1 year 3 month old daughter while they were heading to the room and aggressively questioned why we were parking in front instead of the garage.
When my wife calmly explained that no one had informed us, the receptionist didn’t respond, made an angry face, and acted extremely unprofessional. No apology. No explanation. Just attitude.
2. No proper hot water
There was no hot water in the shower. You literally have to run the water for 10 minutes just to get room-temperature water. Completely unacceptable for a hotel, especially at this price point.
3. Dirty carpets
The carpets had large, visible stains. Honestly, it looked disgusting and unhygienic. No idea if it was pee or something else — and that uncertainty alone says enough about cleanliness standards.
4. $25 per night parking fee with zero guidance
They charge $25 per night for parking, even though the garage is part of the building. On top of that, staff doesn’t tell you where to park, then rudely confronts you days later. Beware: instead of guiding guests, they seem more interested in blaming them.
This experience was shocking, especially compared to other Hyatt properties which have always been pleasant and professional. This location seriously damages the Hyatt brand.
Will never stay here again. Avoid if you value basic courtesy, cleanliness, and comfort.
