Disappointing Stay – Poor Service, Hygiene Issues, and Lack of Maintenance
Pros:

This was not a good experience. Despite repeatedly requesting and following up on housekeeping over several days, our room was not cleaned a single time during our entire week-long stay. This is simply unacceptable for a hotel of this category.

On a positive note, the cleaning staff were consistently friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the reception staff, who seemed rather helpless when it came to resolving issues.

We initially stayed in a room where, after a few days, the toilet started running continuously. We were asked to change rooms, only to be moved into another room that smelled strongly of dampness and showed clear signs of previous water damage (see attached photo). To make matters worse, there was no hot water in the shower, leaving us with only cold water.

The breakfast experience was equally disappointing. The buffet was already largely empty 30 minutes before breakfast service was supposed to end, and the staff refused to replenish it. Even worse, we discovered mold on the bread, which raises serious concerns about food hygiene.

The fitness facilities were another concern. Some of the exercise machines appeared poorly maintained and potentially unsafe to use (see attached photo).

On top of everything, I was charged an additional $75 twice for bringing my cats, adding another $150 + tax to an already disappointing experience. Wondering why that fee was so high when the room wasn’t cleaned during our stay.

Overall, the hotel fell far below the standards I would expect from a Hyatt property. Between the maintenance problems, questionable hygiene, lack of hot water, potentially unsafe fitness equipment, complete lack of housekeeping, and ineffective reception service, the experience was extremely disappointing.

I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel to others.

The location and the building are excellent, but not maintained well.
Pros:

Hyatt facilities are usually very good and pleasant. Except for the location in Galleria the property is not impressive.

Cons:

The carpets in the room and even the common areas needed to be cleaned or replaced. The bar is not in a pleasant place to sit and enjoy.

Pros:

This is an old worn out hotel that is a stain on the Hyatt brand. I felt completely ripped off when that actual price was over twice what I was quoted on the Booking website. Between unexpected parking fees and pet fees that I was told before I booked the property. Don't waste your $$$$

Cons:

Restaurant & bar were closed for "renovation" elevators were out of order & have been for some time. Dirty room. Stained carpets. Broken furniture in the hallways. Wallpaper peeling off the walls.

Great place to stay in Houston
Pros:

Great breakfast with eggs, sausages, waffles, fruit and yogurth. Coffee, juice and milk available. Room in great condition and included a full functional kitchen and fridge.

Cons:

I knew that there was a price for parking, but it doesn't have a security bar or plate reader to prevent anyone from entering.
