I was aware the this is an "alternative" style of hotel on SFO. It matches the review and description. Therefore it was no surprise.
The Pros - Convenient location, clean room, daily room cleaning, comfortable sheets and towels.
The Cons - VERY tight restroom where you can barely move, VERY noisy room - you can hear everything on Bush St and from your neighbour room, including when the guest is having nightmares and dropping his stuff.
During RSAC there is not much options and as I was late on my registration. It is close to Moscone Center but make sure that you don´t leave it to the last minute , so you may have better options.
I like that I give me older SF vibes back when I was a child early teens.I grew up in this area so I always will have a place in my heart.
I honestly can’t find anything. it’s clean, welcoming and the art is always a plus.
Hacen aseo todos los días el personal muy amable
Únicamente la llave se asigna por SMS lo que obliga a tener roaming en el celular
I checked in at 8pm with two bags, one oversized. The guy at the front desk stared at me with a smile on his face while I struggled to open the door and get my bags in. Then when I asked for a place to grab a quick bite to eat he said there was no good food in SF and that I should do DoorDash.
This is such a bare bones hotel it’s barely worth it. The bathroom was so small you couldn’t open the door and access the sink. I only found one outlet in the room. I couldn’t find any temperature control besides turning off the radiator, which was set at full blast despite it being in the 60s.
Good location, though.
The fire alarm went off in my room each night (all after 10:30pm). The first 2 nights someone was there to turn it off. However the 3rd night it took 30 mins for it to turned off (11:30pm). They knew this was an issue because on the 2nd night someone was sent up to warn me it would go off. There didn’t seem to be any action towards actually fixing the issue. I was offered a 20% discount.
Over the first few days I noticed a few itchy lumps but dismissed it. However after eventually getting to sleep after the fire alarm going off, I woke at 4am covered in bites…then I discovered huge beg bugs.
At this point I’d had enough and booked another hotel.
Whilst the customer service was prompt and apologetic they didn’t try to fix any of the issues.
The staff working at the reception were very good, although only there for 2 days. I did get a refund for the third night and the remaining sightings.
The whole thing was so stressful I ended up with gastritis. I’ve since had to see the Doctor for treatment for the bites as well.
Avoid!!!
Clean, friendly staff and nice neighborhood with coffee shop and Irish pub right around the corner
Localização.
Quarti muito pequeno
Not clean and super noisy
Not much. The wall art was fun
BED BUGS, DANGEROUS STAIRS & ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY — WORST STAY OF MY LIFE
Let’s start with the bed bugs. I woke up covered in bites (I’m allergic, so it was very obvious) and when I called the front desk, their response was basically: “Bed bugs are normal, what do you want me to say?”
From there, it was a downhill slide into “is this a prank?” territory:
• Keyless entry? More like “good luck entry” — the old door lock barely opened at all.
• No A/C, no heat — just you and your regrets.
• Broken blinds tied in place so you can enjoy an unwanted beam of light to the face at sunrise.
• Windows that won’t stay open, or barely open at all.
• Hot water that takes 20+ minutes to show up, then yo-yos between ice bath and lava burn.
• Outside noise until 4 a.m., so who needs sleep anyway?
• Stairs that are so steep and narrow you’d better have good insurance — without the handrails, you’d be a human slinky.
This isn’t just bad. It’s unsafe. It’s unsanitary. And judging by management’s attitude, it’s not getting better anytime soon.
it seemed to be right in the middle of everything! pier39 wasn’t too far from where we stayed nor were was alamo park everything felt very nicely close by
was not complicated to get into our room at all. everyone was respectful and mindful
