Friendly staff and an excellent location but noisy contructions
Pros:

We recently stayed at Century Riverside Hotel in Hue and had a mixed experience.
On the positive side, the staff and receptionists were friendly, professional, and always polite when assisting guests. The hotel’s location is excellent, situated conveniently along the Perfume River and within easy reach of restaurants, attractions, and other amenities around Hue.
The rooms and facilities were generally acceptable and met standard expectations.

Cons:

The bathrooms felt somewhat dated, and our room only had a bathtub without a proper shower, which may not be convenient for all guests.

Unfortunately, what disappointed us most was the ongoing construction work during our stay. We were not informed in advance that renovation works would be taking place. On our first day (June 4-5, 2026), there was extremely loud construction noise from approximately 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. The following morning (June 6, 2026), the noise continued from around 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. The drilling and construction machinery appeared to be operating directly above our room, making it impossible to rest or relax.

When we reported the issue, the hotel staff suggested that we spend time in the reception area to avoid the noise, but no alternative room was offered. As a result, we had to leave the hotel during the hottest part of the summer day, which was far from ideal and significantly affected our stay.

While the hotel’s location and staff are definite strengths, the lack of advance notice regarding major construction work and the absence of a satisfactory solution when the issue was raised left us feeling disappointed. We hope the hotel will improve its communication with guests and provide better accommodation options when such disruptions occur

Prima zwembad en goed personeel
Pros:

Het was een heerlijk zwembad. De service bij het ontbijt echt perfect. Als ik opstond om koffie te halen, werd dit gelijk voor mij gedaan.

Très bel hôtel situé en bordure de la rivière des parfums et en face d'un quartier très animé et piétonnisé les soirs du vendredi au dimanche. Nous avons passé 7 nuits dans une chambre très spacieuse (30m2) et bien équipée, nouvellement rénovée, avec vue sur la rivière. Personnels très professionnel et attentionné.
Mais derrière ce bel emballage se cache une autre réalité : cet établissement n'est pas à la hauteur des 4 étoiles revendiquées...

Cons:

A notre arrivée dans la chambre nous découvrons une note d'information nous précisant que l'hôtel était en rénovation et que des travaux "pouvaient" générer des nuisances sonores de 9h00 à 17h00. En fait, des bruits soutenus de marteau piqueur et de travaux se sont fait entendre à partir de 7h30 jusqu'à bien au-delà de 17h00. Nous aurions aimé que Booking nous informe de cette situation, car nous n'aurions pas réservé dans cet établissement. De plus, les nombreux accès donnant sur l'extérieur sans aucune surveillance laissent légitimement planer le doute sur la sécurité de l'hôtel. Bien que notre chambre nous ait été présentée comme nouvellement rénovée, l'isolation phonique est très limitée. Tout déplacement et conversation dans les couloirs, ainsi que toutes activités dans les toilettes et les douches des chambres voisines étaient très clairement audibles. Un tapage nocturne (minuit passé) de plus d'une heure n'a pas fait l'objet d'une intervention de la part de la sécurité de l'hôtel ; j'ai dû intervenir personnellement pour faire cesser ce tapage dû à des personnes fortement alcoolisées dont je ne sais même pas s'ils étaient clients de l'hôtel. La capacité d'accueil du restaurant où est servi le petit déjeuner est très insuffisante compte tenu de la capacité de l'hôtel. Nous avons été obligés un matin de remonter dans notre chambre et d'attendre 1 heure avant de pouvoir accéder au restaurant. Durant notre séjour au Vietnam, nous avons eu l'occasion de séjourner dans d'autres établissements classés 4 étoiles qui étaient très au-dessus de cet hôtel. Il faut revoir le niveau de prestations de cet établissement.
