Terrible Experience
Pros:

I would never stay at this hotel again. We paid extra for a 2 bedroom suite because we had 2 adults, a baby and a toddler. They put us in a room right above Miguels Mexican restaurant. We heard screaming, laughter, chairs and tables scraping until 10 pm every night in addition to the street traffic. We complained and they did nothing. It was also a flight of stairs up and no elevator with all of the baby strollers, bags, etc. No bell hop service, no valet parking. Kids running the lobby. Never again. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

5 days @ El Cordova
Pros:

Having an elevator would be a huge benefit. And a better stocked kitchen would be great. We would also love to have an exhaust fan in the bathroom.

Best Hotel Experience Ever
Pros:

By far, my best experience in the hotel. Employees were great and accommodating. The other guest made it more fun. Thank you for the great experience, will definitely be staying again at this location on my next visit to coronado Beach.

Great for the deaf and people that love loud noise at 0600
Pros:

Do not do it, if you want to sleep past 0545. It is nice and quiet till 0545 then you have the resturant staff. They do not talk, they yell. It is nice weather, but do not open your windows because of the noise. The incredibly loud people talking can be heard through closed windows. The banging starts at 0600 to 0815. Maybe later, we left. We were supposed to stay till noon. You could not pay me to stay anylonger. We went to checkout and guy at the front knew about the noise. He did not even ask the ridiculously loud people to use their inside voice. He just said, "Oh yeah the resturant." Why do they even have a customer service guy, if he does not look out for his sleeping customers? That resturant is costing that hotel lots of money. The staff at the hotel have no desire to communicatewith the resturant staff. The staff were not talking about anything work related, just talikg really loud outside my room. We will not go back. We ran out of there with our pajamas on. Horrible way to wake up.

Bait and switch parking
Pros:

The room was ok but the plastic shower was cracked and I felt like I was going to fall through the floor. I would have given a better review but was quite annoyed by the fact that it said private garage parking but failed to mention it’s two blocks away and costs $40/day to park your vehicle. The staff was awesome and the location great.

Some good, some bad
Pros:

Great, fun location. Staff was friendly. The room smelled very clean and we could tell it was cleaned, but there were roaches in the room upon check-in. We paid $40 for parking and there were no spots available so that money was a complete waste. The alley outside our window was very noisy all night. Will definitely pay the difference to stay at the place across the street next year.

A wonderful weekend getaway
Pros:

Location was fantastic. Close to great restaurants, shops, and the beach. Staff at hotel was exceptional!!! Couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. It set the tone for a great getaway. Rooms are large and having a kitchen was incredibly nice. The only downside is the noise at night. Rooms have thin walls and voices from the restaurant area and other guests kept us up until midnight. Perhaps, a room in a different area would be more quiet.

Never again
Pros:

I live in San Diego and always wanted to stay here abd I finally booked two nights.
I knew parking would be an issue and the staff texted me and told me parking was available for a nominal fee in the day I arrived.
I get there; no parking was available. If you know Coronado, all street parking is 2 - 4 hours only immediately around the hotel. I knew this and was assured they had parking available, when I arrived, they didn't.
I paid $80 to park across the street until 11pm then moved my car to a residential street a mile away to avoid more charges. Staff made no attempt to mitigate to relieve the situation.

The TV in the room apparently had no internet or cable connectivity so there was no TV available for out stay.

The racket made sleeping impossible to sleep on our second night, it sounded like someone was pressure washing a metal surface below us at 1:00am. Perhaps this might have been scheduled more appropriately for guests?

December in Coronado
Pros:

The location of the hotel was great, not beach front, but close to the beach and walking distance to many restaurants and shops.

The hotel advertised in their binders (in our room) that hotel guests were eligible for discounts at local restaurants and the San Diego zoo - when I asked about the discounted zoo tickets at the front desk, I was told that there were none and when we went to restaurants and mentioned these discounts, they were unaware of these.

The temperature controls were off in our rooms. We turned on the heat and cold air still came through the vents in our kitchen and living room area. Windows are old and need to be replaced - we heard street noise and people at all hours.

For the most part, the room was fairly clean but dishes and silverware had crumbs on them.

Second bathroom toilet and sink were clogged multiple times. They came to resolve the issue but resolution was only temporary.

Meh…
Pros:

The location is great as the “base” for walking and exploring. The noise of the restaurant below was NOT pleasant with all the sounds of the kitchen and what seemed like constant table sliding.

Inside the room, essentially no hot water. Luke warm would be a bit of a stretch as well. I ran the tub for 20 minutes thinking maybe it just needed to come from across the property.

I don’t want to even get into the parking situation but if you go you should know there is not any. 40$/night for the BoA building which is a 3-5 minute walk.

Love the hotel but room was a little disappointing
Pros:

You definitely pay for the location, paying to be across from the beach and walking distance to everything. Highly recommend pay for their parking garage. Disappointed on the quality of the rooms. Shower was dirty with terrible water pressure. Brought it up to management at check out and they then mentioned it was a problem for the whole hotel. Room needs a deep clean. Bed was clean and comfortable. Great ac. Room does have a mini fridge which is not in the description. Cleaning on request, not daily. Paid for a king bed but realized too late that we received a room with a queen bed. We would say overall it was average. Not the worst. Not the best.

Pros:

It was a great location! The rooms were small and noisy. The shower water pressure was terrible!! The patio areas could've used a little sprucing up since it was a holiday week.

Don’t stay here
Pros:

We did not like our experience at the Hotel at all and would not
come back again. The parking was a total rip off and very inconvenient. We were charges $40 and there weren’t any parking spaces and it was completely off site and we had to move our car before our hotel reservation was over because we were forced to park in the Bank of America parking lot.

The bathroom was in total disrepair and we didn’t like the shampoo soaps and lotions provided.
The walls were so thin I heard the person in the next rooms alarm going off and her total conversation. For the price it was a total rip off. We went there to enjoy Coronado and we ended up just leaving in the morning.

Old and Confused
Pros:

Local parking is scarce. Their offer for 40 off site parking is a block away. To difficult to unload and trek.
Rooms are confusing. Noise from nearby restaurants is constant.
Tile missing in bathroom and hat water was limited.
