Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The building itself is super cute and in a great location; walking distance to the boardwalk. The pool area was neat. Bed was comfortable, the room was very clean. The “spa” shower was spacious, the water pressure was fantastic and the temp got HOT. Great if you like scalding hot showers like me! The furniture and amenities were updated & modern.
We booked the king suite - which was very small and cramped. There is no breakfast, but not even a vending machine is available. There’s a tiny coffeemaker but there were no cups, so we couldn’t use it. The microwave was placed on the extremely tiny minifridge, which was placed on a rolling platform, so it wasn’t very sturdy or nice looking. The AC unit worked - but it was really loud and made a racket, which honestly, made it hard to sleep. There is an icemaker right in the hallway which people were using at all hours of the night.
I liked how the parking felt private since it was more in the back away from everything instead of in the front of the rooms and sticking out.
I didn’t like the gravel part of the parking but other than that I only really ever went in my room and to the lobby so not much to complain about.
Parking available, friendly staff, good location , good price
The location was good, just a short drive to the Boardwalk.
Limited parking
Staff was very helpful and the room was comfortable
Neighborhood was worse than expected
The only place we could find for a one night stay as we were on our way to Arcata.
This ia a 2 star place. Room smelled like chemicals - probably due to the overwhelming smell of the chlorinated pool right underneath our room. Dinghy bathroom that had paint that is peeling in the corners. Towels the size of postage stamps and thin thin thin. Have stayed in many hotels in Santa Cruz - the Hyatt, Paradox, Pacific Blue, Scotts Valley Hyatt, Inn at Pasitiempo ..off season they are all near 150/night - so to pay 220 for a night at a place like this...no thanks.
The man at the front desk was a good man

Clean, comfortable. It's about a 20 minute walk in either direction to downtown or the boardwalk.
No complaints.
Beaucoup trop bruyant ,aucune isolation entre les chambres. La piscine est découverte au milieu du bâtiment ,bruyante également .
The location is ok. Minus the fact that the apartments across the parking lot can see right in to the rooms. Very little privacy. And the people who live in the apartments were violent and aggressive.
Everything. The bathroom was filthy. There was mold in the bathroom. Bodily hairs in the shower. Hairs on the towels. We felt so uncomfortable we could t even shower there. The one time we tied to contact the staff they never came to the lobby even after we rang the bell. Someone checked in past midnight and they were so incredibly loud. The door shutting are like slamming everytime. You can hear everything. The refrigerator in there was making weird “popping” sounds all night, we had to unplug it just for some peace.
Staff went above and beyond
Loved it
Cheap
Room was very small. Too noisy.
Had to wait over an hour past check in time for room to be ready.

Hotel calme spacieux bien equiper. Acceuil sympatique. Petite ville bien agreable, touristique.
