Staff were friendly. Pool was cold but operational. Food was decent. Parking was easy.
Our first room smelled strongly of fake lavender or some other synthetic scent, ineffectively attempting to cover up a stronger, fouler, slightly acrid odor that permeated the room and linens. The replacement room had a tamer smell, a whiff of old wet dog. After that, we stopped asking for new rooms.

Only stayed one night at Staybridge Suites in Oak Ridge, but it was solid from start to finish. The room was super clean, the bed felt like a cloud (the good kind, not the thunderstorm kind), and the water pressure in the shower could probably power-wash a truck, which I respect.
Staff were friendly without being fake, and check-in took less time than it takes me to remember my Netflix password. I didn’t get to fully test-drive all the amenities, but what I did see was impressive, especially for a quick stay.
Would definitely stay again next time I’m passing through. Might even book two nights just to test out that complimentary breakfast like a proper grown-up.
We were prepared to dislike this hotel. It is tucked away on Inn Ln., a poorly marked side street off of S. Illinois Ave., behind a McDonalds and next door to a strip mall on life support. However, the suite had plenty of space, two TVs, and they didn’t scrimp on kitchen utensils or pots and pans for the kitchen. We slept quite well here. It is convenient to grocery stores, a park and the Manhattan Project National Park sites.
We did not use the breakfast or happy hour since we travel with our own food. The fitness center has the standard equipment. The 10 lb. dumbbells we’re missing from the weight set. Our only complaint is that they need to clean and vacuum the stairwells.

The bathroom was pretty dated and looked very run down. The rest of the room was good, just the bathroom was a real turn off. The rooms could really use some maintenance and attention. Would have also like if our room had been cleaned during our stay. At least make the bed and refresh towels.
