Staff were friendly
Had its time need refurbished
The spacious room
The films are not available thursday. Italian restaurant and whisky nar not available thursday
Location
No lounging chairs in the room to watch tv. And there was only 1 desk chair for a room with 2 beds. We asked another and it was provided but it seems that the room should accommodate the numbers inhabiting it
NOT MUCH, the physical hotel was nice and great views but overpriced for the level of service. Great location, lovely walks but not much else.
Staff are terrible, there were far too few of them, and they were not the least bit helpful. Overpriced for what it is. My room wasn't cleaned properly from room service, the same was true for other people. They knew they had 2 big groups booked for the weekend but had so few staff.
really loved this property! The hotel was beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. The pool and spa area were especially nice and made the stay even more enjoyable. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
I also really appreciated the service with the luggage. They took our bags when we arrived and also helped us with them when we were leaving, which was a very nice and convenient touch.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience and really enjoyed my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
Plenty of good facilities
Pool area needs painting and some TLC
The location and the pool area were really nice. We loved spending time in the indoor pool. The property and location is always so beautiful. Concierge was very helpful !
The room we paid for was advertised as a family suite with a lounge to sit on and a small coffee table,, however when we checked into our room, there was only an armchair and no table. When I booked, I booked for 2 adults and 3 children. I would not call the room a family suite. There was no where for my children to sit. We had promised them room service and could not get room service because there would have been no place to eat other than the small office desk and the outdoor seating which is not ideal on a winters night. The outdoor set was also dirty so we did not use that.
When I brought this up with reception, they stated I should have requested a lounge or "additional seating". Why would I need to request this if this is what is advertised. For the price of the room, I expected more value for money, considering I spent almost $900 on a room for 1 night. The rooms were so outdated and have not been upgraded in many years. We visited 9 years ago (and a few times in between), the rooms remain the same but the price has increased by a large amount. The room and amenities are rundown and outdated including the maze garden, the mirror maze and childrens play space. The website advertised that all children receive a plush duck at check in, however I didnt receive it. I had to ask for it after my children saw other children with the plush toy.
While we love the Fairmont and have stayed there many times before, this was our last time as it os no longer value for money or a prestige resort to stay at, despite the price tag.
