We visit regular and in this occasion to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we like the location and we usually enjoy the amenities.
Room had a large wine stain on the floor, bar closed at 8pm on a Wednesday night and 9pm on Thursday, the whiskey bar also closed early, dinner in the Embers restaurant was woeful and expensive for what was served up. My chicken maryland was pre cooked and not reheated properly, when I pointed this out to the waitress she informed me she would let the Chef know! No offer of compensation of any kind.
Activities for kids were great
Beds uncomfortable, especially the fold outs. Food was expensive and average. Pool and spa run down.
I enjoyed the property’s location. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the views were great.
The heated pool was freezing, the sauna only reached 60 degrees, and the jacuzzi (spa) was cold. There was an unpleasant, pungent smell throughout the hotel. The food at the restaurants was mediocre, except for the waffle chips and breakfast. The hotel staff was unresponsive when I called them.
Excellent for the kids

Location & staff so helpful.
Run down, needs painting, pool looked dirty & maintenance overall of property obviously not happened. Holes in room curtains, paint peeling on all surfaces outside. One gate to pool had hoses running across it which dangerous. Signage to facilitates inadequate. Food almost inedible from room service, ambience in Embers restaurant lacking.
Their cafe area was lovely, The staff were lovely. Always got a great coffee here,
The steak restaurant downstairs was superb. The food and staff were exceptional.
Our room. The outdoor courtyard was dirty and uninviting. We had no idea it was a pet friendly hotel and were confronted with dogs walking around inside and barking when left unattended in rooms. I have two dogs myself but found this not very appealing.
Our room was very dated. Room cleaning on day 2 was non-existent. Clearly catering for families of young children ad not enough attention given to anyone else.l
Stayed here over a busy school holiday weekend. Pouring rain outside but many things to do inside in a full house hotel. Free cinema, arcades, indoor pool, ice skating rink and games room with billiards.
Stayed here before but totally different now under new Management. More lively, all restaurants opened, staff seems happy working here and love the atmosphere.
What more if its sunny outside, can enjoh more with their outdoor activities. Next time.
Location was outstanding!
Maintenance in room was lacking - blocked drains, faulty air conditioner
Location
Check in was late because the room was not ready. Floor had litter on it, no garbage bin liner, toilet was leaking, only 1 coffee mug and wine glass, indoor pool was cold, spa was cold and most users were under the regulated age of 14yrs, no hydration in the gym, one barmen thought he was John Cleese from Fawlty Towers.
