Lovely quiet room. Well decorated and spacious.
The spa area was disappointing. Small and the steam room wasn’t working.
Perfekt läge. Otroligt fint och trevligt hotell. Rummet var rymligt men ändå mysigt med fin utsikt mot slottet. Väldigt trevlig personal! God mat.
Saknade smörgåspålägg till frukosten, finns endast marmelad. Annars mycket nöjd med frukosten.
We’ve just returned from the most amazing long weekend at The Caledonian Edinburgh, and without exaggeration, the hotel was the highlight of our trip.
We were fortunate to receive an upgrade with a beautiful view of the castle, which set the tone for a really special stay. The room itself was spotless, tastefully decorated - both luxurious and comfortable. Loved the little comforts like the walk in wardrobe, and details like ample bathroom lighting - so very pleased with a hotel room that finally had sufficient space for a travel wardrobe and ideal makeup space. I loved finding a yoga mat and block in the wardrobe, along with plenty of space for a relaxing practice!
The service throughout our stay was exceptional. Every member of staff we encountered was warm, welcoming, genuinely helpful - plenty of good tips to get around Edinburgh! We just felt so looked after thanks to their friendly, attentive hospitality.
The facilities were another standout. The gym is well equipped to enjoy a real workout. The spa area was equally impressive, with a 12m pool which was good enough for a morning swim workout, and the steam room, sauna and spa pool were super relaxing.
Breakfast was fab - a generous spread that included a full Scottish with haggis and tatties - yum - alongside other choices. Service was cheerful and efficient, which made a great start to each day.
Such a charming hotel with real character and history, paired with modern comfort and outstanding amenities. We actually found ourselves choosing to spend more time enjoying the hotel than exploring, which says everything. We would absolutely stay again and highly recommend it.
Great hotel overall. Amazing location and very nice exterior and interior.
Place only has one lift that you can use from the lobby which is pretty annoying the wait takes forever especially if the occupancy is high then you’ll wait a good 10-15 minutes for the lift. We also got 2 rooms both of which needed to be changed due to plumbing issues and that was a very long process both times.
من أفضل الفنادق خدمة وتعامل راقي وسعة الغرف ممتازة ونظافة الأثاث والديكور الاسعار مناسبة جداً وتم عمل ترقية للغرفة الى سويت شكرًا لكم. الاسعار أقل من غيره بالمنطقة بنفس المستوى وبعيد عن الضجيج والزحمة وقريب من الاماكن السياحية المحبوبة والأسواق. المطعم بالدور الأرضي متفاني ورائع وحتى الافطار متنوع وخدمة راقية شكرًا للطاقم.

Personal preference related to the pillows! One pillow was too soft and flat and 2 pillows together were too much.

Our room was cold and the engineer came out and did improve it but it still wasn’t very warm.
Veldig hyggelig service, pent og rent. Fin restaurant og utrolig fin bar. Nydelig ansiktsbehandling og massasjer i SPA, vi følte oss veldig godt tatt vare på. Herlig frokost.
Ingen ting å mislike, men det var litt uoversiktlig og langt til SPA avdelingen. Noen ekstra skilt og litt bedre veiledning til det hadde vært fint.

. When I asked for more bottled water for the room at the end of the evening at reception I was told they had no water left waiting for a delivery and to drink water from the bathroom tap … that i was in Scotland and it was fine to drink bathroom at water 😳
