Lovely stay but lacked a few 5 star touches
Pros:

Stunning property beautiful building lovely bathroom and shower with a great size room and comfy bed very clean and nice furnishing

Cons:

Our view was onto other rooms in the hotel. I would have expected a 5 star hotel to have a mini bar or fridge with drink and snacks but there was nothing which is strange. Extremely busy at reception all day but that’s understandable for a busy hotel staff were still great and helpful!

A little historic luxury in Edinburgh
Pros:

Very pretty historic property, great location in heart of Edinburgh. Helpful, friendly staff.

Cons:

Personally wasn’t a big fan of the breakfast restaurant but in second day we sat in the courtyard after which I loved. The hotel is pricey. We paid more to stay in a castle view room which was great but we did it in January so discounted. There is a new wing - so if you want to stay in the original hotel, better check where your room will be! (We definitely wanted original hotel).
