Beautiful and right in the centre
1 lift but there putting another in
Very nice hotel which made the visit even more special. Decor was beautiful and a lovely ambience in the bar..Staff were very attentive.
A little pricey for food and drinks but I guess normal for a hotel of this high standard.
Was lovely & warm bed was comfortable
The room was small windows high up terrible view no glass to drink fom
It was clean. We were made to feel very welcome at all times
Nothing
Très bel établissement, chambre spacieuse. Magnifique vue sur le château. Personnel très agréable.
Rien
Fantastic location
Stunning features
Glorious architecture
There were renovations going on but only a minor inconvenience with one lift working.
The service was sometimes slow but lots of fun staff
Very clean, lovely staff.
Single pane glass meant that we could hear everything that went past the hotel. Fairly noisy.
Beautiful room amazing staff especially Emma on reception who helped make our stay so special. Breakfast was fabulous
Everything was perfect
Stunning property beautiful building lovely bathroom and shower with a great size room and comfy bed very clean and nice furnishing
Our view was onto other rooms in the hotel. I would have expected a 5 star hotel to have a mini bar or fridge with drink and snacks but there was nothing which is strange. Extremely busy at reception all day but that’s understandable for a busy hotel staff were still great and helpful!
Very pretty historic property, great location in heart of Edinburgh. Helpful, friendly staff.
Personally wasn’t a big fan of the breakfast restaurant but in second day we sat in the courtyard after which I loved. The hotel is pricey. We paid more to stay in a castle view room which was great but we did it in January so discounted. There is a new wing - so if you want to stay in the original hotel, better check where your room will be! (We definitely wanted original hotel).
