Marriott Anchorage Downtown

Good centralized location, rooms were clean, close walking to a lot of restaurants and shopping. Kids liked the pool, but that room could use a little sound deadening material in there. The echo is a lot if there are a handful of kids in there.

Renz in the lounge was very hospitable.

The property was really central to some really great restaurants and meeting points for tours. I recommend some of the breweries and humpy’s as personal favourites.

The room was clean. The bed was comfy and clean with great views the mountains The staff were also very friendly.

I had a truly wonderful experience at the Anchorage Marriott Downtown, and what stood out most was the exceptional quality of the staff, something that truly makes all the difference in a hotel stay.

From the moment I checked in, Matthew at the front desk set the tone. He was efficient and professional, yet incredibly warm and personable. He took the time to ask about my flight and made sure every detail of my stay was taken care of. Thanks to him, I was placed in a beautiful room with stunning views of the water and mountains, an unforgettable welcome to Anchorage. (Fingers crossed I’ll catch the northern lights too!)

A special thank you as well to Renz in the concierge lounge, who went above and beyond in every sense. His level of attentiveness and genuine care is unlike anything I’ve experienced before. He checks in with every guest, anticipates needs before they’re even spoken, and does it all with kindness and grace. He is constantly moving, ensuring the lounge is comfortable, well-stocked, and welcoming for everyone. His work ethic and dedication truly elevate the entire experience.

It’s easy to have a nice property, but it’s the people who bring it to life. Matthew and Renz are shining examples of hospitality done right. Because of them, my stay wasn’t just comfortable; it was memorable.

Love this place! Such a convenient location. Rooms are very nice, views are incredible, and the beds are comfortable, which is most important for me. Love the breakfast at concierge lounge! Renz has been great! Everything we needed, he tried to accommodate us! Love when people take pride in what they do!

As always, my overall experience was great. It is enhanced by my experience in the club lounge by Renz! He always greets me with a smile. He makes this the best club lounge I’ve ever experienced.

Renz in the club lounge is truly exceptional. He went above and beyond for every guest at breakfast, offering a level of service that far exceeded expectations. Even without any obligation, he took on more than what would typically be required of a server. His positive energy is infectious and made the entire experience even more enjoyable.

The staff are amazing! Renz is always very courteous and quick on the concierge lounge and weekend breakfast. Matthew and the rest of the front desk staff are always welcoming and helpful. Definitely enjoyed my staff overall!
