Very disappointing
Pros:

We attended a friends 60th birthday party last night we booked on the web site a room for two with breakfast the reception booking in was fine she said room with breakfast we said yes the rooms are average and need updating the breakfast was poor for the price disappointing we went to check out this morning to be told we had to pay for 1of the breakfast 17pounds what a rip off we said we booked a room for two including breakfast she said it was booked for 1 breakfast not sure what that’s about I wouldn’t have had it if I knew that I would not recommend this hotel to any one we had a good party and this experience has spoilt it feel angry this hotel is not value for money I wish I had not stayed here a rip off

Bang average (of what I saw)
Pros:

I stayed overnight in what I thought would be a premium brand hotel. To be fair it probably was in the 90s. I only slept in a hotel room and didn’t use the facilities other than room service. I couldn’t get the WiFi to work, the room was tired, bed uncomfortable, no heating other than a portable oil heater and there was loads of handyman fixes in the bathroom and a couple of tubes of bathroom sealant holding the hook on the back of the door (although it was not possible to hang any clothes off of it). The room service food was overpriced and not overly exciting. However, I did find that every member of staff I dealt with to be very polite and helpful.
It’s a hotel that is stuck in a time warp with the decor and facilities (no plug sockets near the bed!) but the staff made a positive impact.
Bang average and acceptable for an overnight business stay due to its location.

Pleasant. Would use again.
Pros:

Staff were very helpful and attentive. Layout is good. Beds comfy. Restaurant good choices for all tastes, including an understanding of allergies and intolerances.

Cons:

Delta housekeeping is only every three days. I would have like to have been told on arrival, as I expected towels, mugs and glasses to be replaced.

Lovely warm hotel
Pros:

This is a lovely hotel! Warm, clean and welcoming. Excellent breakfast, good food in bar or restaurant. Free parking. Quiet location but close by car to town, M1.

My booking was unilaterally cancelled and I had not been informed neither by the hotel or Booking.com. I had to find another hotel in town at the last minute. Front desk employee felt very remote about the whole situation.
