The breakfast was absolutely incredible, with an impressive variety and quality. The location is excellent — right on the water and just a couple of blocks from public transit — and it was a pleasure to stroll around the neighborhood over the weekend. The staff were outstanding: they noticed it was my birthday and left a personalized card and chocolates in the room, which was a very thoughtful touch. I also appreciated the pillow menu, which allowed me to choose a pillow that made for a great night’s sleep.
The room, especially the bathroom, was a bit dated, but it didn’t detract from the stay and seems consistent with a hotel that caters more to business travelers.

The hotel is very well located, just a few steps from the metro station and close to the lake. The check-in was a breeze, we were given all necessary information. Our room was modern, spacious, clean and comfortable. Our request for new pillows was taken care of immediately. Breakfast was great with the variety beyond believe. We had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant and were not disappointed either. All staff members (at the reception, at the housekeeping, at the restaurant) were nice, friendly and professional. The location close to the long promenade allows you to take pleasant walks and even visit Olympic museum if you can climb the stairs. I highly recommend this establishment.

Hotel was older and it was looking a little tired around the room, for instance, the bathroom was dated. It was by no means cheap daily rate and should have been more modern. Relying on location for high prices. We had to use parking across the road and hotel staff didn’t tell us we would get a discount there as hotel guests. Found out on last day from car park people. Would have saved us a lot of money to know that.
Le service est vraiment exceptionnel que ce soit à l'accueil, au bar, au restaurant, le room service ou le service d'étage. Nous avons d'ailleurs proroger notre séjour de 3 jours, pour cette raison.

Food from room service
I stayed at Movenpick hotel during my EMBA onsite program at IMD. The location is perfect and the lake view is superb. I also appreciate the fact that I have free water bottles and coffee capsules re-filled every day.
The shower head doesn't have enough water pressure. It has improved compared to my last stay in 2025 September but taking a shower is still not very efficient.
Location is of course top convenient, space and stars are as advertised. The staff is up to expected standards.
Temperature regulation in the rooms is not. We set the thermostat as low as possible (19.5°C) but could never bring the temperature below 23. The bar and restaurant are fine, just not the coziest one cold imagine in a hotel of that class.
Vorab; Personal am Empfang und im Restaurant sehr freundlich und sichtlich bemüht. Frühstück gut.
Leider typisch für die Schweizer Hotellerie: Häuser oft veraltet, Zimmer renovierungsbedürftig und völlig überteuert. Wir hatten von Mövenpick eigentlich etwas anderes erwartet. Aber: Zimmer hatte noch nicht mal 3-Sterne-Niveau. Uns wurde ein Zimmerwechsel angeboten, leider war dieses keinen Deut besser und direkt an der viel befahrenen Straße vor dem Hotel. Auch die Sauberkeit liess zu wünschen übrig. (Haare von den Vorgängern an dem Bettbezug)
Das Essen im Restaurant sehr durchschnittlich und keinesfalls den Preis wert.
Tiefgarage: für SUV‘s eine Herausforderung und mit über 40 Franken pro Tag ohne Worte

Le personnel très sympathique et accueillant ,les chambres vu lac sont magnifiques ❤️, l’hôtel est neuve et les chambres bien spacieux, en plus à côté de lac génial pour se promener en fin de journée , il y a plan de bateau à voir ! Pour les familles avec des enfants c ‘est fantastique il y a tous que faut .Le petit déjeuner c’est assez gâté , très très bon !! Du salé ou sucré pour toutes les goûts .

L'hôtel est magnifique, impeccablement propre.
Chambre spacieuse avec tout le confort nécessaire, une très bonne literie au sommier ajustable selon nos préférences. Le petit déjeuner présente beaucoup de choix, l'établissement est parfaitement situé pour découvrir Ouchy et les alentours, parking privé dans l'hôtel ou public juste en face. Le personnel et très professionnel et accueillant
