Great location on downtown Neenah. Walk to restaurants, farmer's market, lake. Large room, well appointed, quiet.
No freezer in mini fridge, dirty carpeting and couch, shower was very dirty. Expensive and no free breakfast. They even charged for tea downstairs at the coffee bar.
It was very nice. I was surprised that breakfast wasn’t included in my bill, no one asked if we wanted that included. We had a 5 hour drive ahead of us so we had to eat. It was good.
Nothing
Oh Dear. Someone was having a bad week. I don't want to "pick" on anyone, and I realize that the very bad nearby Tornado had an impact, but the tone deafness of Hilton's response was significant. We arrived Friday at 4 pm. We got to check in and were told that all of Hilton's Systems were out and we could not check in. That we might be able to Check in at 5:30. Not really the local hotel at fault, but Conrad and his buddies at Hilton Corporate were not helping. We finally got to check in at 8 pm. After a long drive (and a funeral scheduled for the next day) this was an issue
So, in the morning we go down to Breakfast. We get there right when it is scheduled to open. And we see a number of people sitting in front of a locked door. With no signage or anything else. Someone came and told us it would open an hour late. So we went out for a walk and came back an hour later. It just opened as we walked int, but contrary to the claims for the pre-billing, they did not offer a "cooked to order" breakfast, they offered a "buffet" similar to that offered by the next step down in the Hilton chain without the waffles. And because opening was "delayed', the offerings were immediately "picked over" leaving lots of options unavailable. Again, I understand the tornado from earlier in the week.
The issue was not the breakfast per se, it was continuing to charge full price for the breakfast without any kind of adjustment. And the failure to provide any adjustment for the inability to check in. Hilton has gotten pretty strict with its no show policy, so in terms of equity, they should have done somethin... they did not
Very friendly staff. They made fresh cookies for us. Very quiet.
The location was perfect and easy parking.
Once I got the room I had booked and paid for, it was a good size.
The manager was helpful and friendly in resolving the problem.
On arrival, checked in, went to room and given wrong room. Went back to reception and I was told that I'd been bumped as they were full and I wasn't a Hilton Honours member. I'd booked it 11 months ago and they took my money a day before I arrived and didn't tell me when I'd checked in. I am a Hilton Honours member, but that should not have impacted my booking.
I was very assertive but polite, and eventually, they gave me the correct room, which I appreciated.
The hotel is tired, the shower area rather grubby as was the sofa.
The aircon is very noisy and the hallways didn't look very clean.
Excellent location, met all my needs.
I had read reviews of this hotel being dated and not clean. But I will let the photos speak for themselves.
It was very dusty that my husband and myself sneezed all night. There were food particles on the floor. The staff were most unwelcoming. Our flight was delayed and we arrived past 1am.
I called ahead and spoke to Anna who had a very condescending attitude, when I enquired about a complimentary upgrade with my status. I requested a clean room and she said she would let the nigh audit person know but that did not pan out positively. The person who checked us in did not even acknowledge us as having diamond status and when I asked about the cookies, as we were starving pointed me to the awful tasting vegan cookies. The following morning at checkout, the lady did not even ask how our stay was till I asked for the manager and expressed my dismay. I will not return here.
Location made it easy to walk to local downtown and shopping
No shower gel in the shower and coffee was out in lobby when we wanted some before we left at 6:30
We generally liked staying at the DoubleTree in Neenah and loved the cookies. Highlights were the friendly and fun chats we had with the receptionist at the front desk, Beth. She was genuinely friendly and interested in us. The location was perfect too.
Location, was good, breakfast which was not included was good
Booked for 2 queens, got a king and a pull out, so back is not feeling very good. Also pulled out the pullout and it was not clean, looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. No channel guide for the TV.
Great staff and within walking distance to shopping and restaurants in historic downtown.
Free parking.
Safe and convenient.
No issues that we encountered.
The pool was very clean and cozy.
Nothing
Very friendly staff! Waters in the room for us. Restaurant on site and nice hot tub and pool. Comfortable beds!
