Big fan of this hotel for a night out around the museum district. The service is awesome, and it always just smells good. Call me weird, but I like a hotel with the same memorable, good smell every time you walk in. The art is groovy. The bar and the breakfast are both good. Get a room with a balcony and view overlooking the museums or the park.

Great stay at ZaZa for the World Cup? Asey Johnson was fantastic. Friendly, warm and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again.
Local service transportation, the room was very good in this visit and it is the best place to visit the MFAH.
RECOMMENDATIONS (for rooms): Full length mirror, Wall Clock (other than bedroom nightstand), Towel Racks (there was only one).
KUDOS: Coffee bar by the elevators each morning (loved it) and the Hotel shuttle is a great touch.
Rock Star Staff Member: Chloe Sharou (Check-In Staff). She made our experience super awesome by anticipating our needs. She was always in a great mood no matter the time of day and always had the answers to our questions.
Unique
We booked a room that was advertised as 2200sqft and when we arrived we got a room that was 400sqft. Completely misleading.
There are luxury hotels, and then there are places that truly make people feel sane, safe and welcomed. my experience at Hotel Zaza Museum District has been so much more than simply staying at a hotel. That's a beautiful property. during one of the hardest transitions of my life, this hotel has become a place of peace, comfort and genuine human connection, I call it home. Period, from the moment I started coming here months ago, looking to relocate here, looking at properties, to live and places to work Period, from the moment I arrived, every single staff member treated me with kindness, warmth and consistency. not in a forced or rehearsed way, but in a way that felt sincere. in today's world, that is rare. the atmosphere here is elegant without feeling pretentious, and the staff are truly what makes this property exceptional. whether it was the front desk, valet, shuttle drivers, restaurant staff, housekeeping, management, or simply the people greeting guest throughout the property, everyone has made me feel important and cared for. there is something so special about this place that goes beyond decor or luxury. I also want to personally recognize the incredible staff members who made such an impact on my stay The entire valet team, J. O. S. E. From the monarch restaurant, Jordan, and CYDNEE at the bar. Sharon, Ashley, Chloe and YASH at the front desk along with Jordan and Daisy. The front desk managers. Again, this is just the most amazing hotel And I have traveled all around the world.I cant say enough about thi amazing hotel,i call home
Austin was a great server. Food was great. On par with fancy restaurant pricing
Decor, staff, cleanliness
Loud air conditioning
Our view was incredible, everything was so clean and everyone was so helpful!! Vanessa at the front desk was amazing. We only had a limited period of time to explore houston and she was able to help us optimize our time with the best spots!! Can’t forget the cookies every afternoon, maybe my favorite part of all.
My husband and I have had such a wonderful time staying at hotel zaza. The soho loft is amazing includes a crystal chandelier and brick wall. We were walking distance from the museums but they also offer to shuttle you to different places. The staff is also very friendly and if you eat at the Monarch restaurant within the hotel, be sure to ask for Desirae. She’s such a gem!
I found the staff extremely well trained and to be a good temperament
Initial experience - i get in late and am greeted by a delightful young woman who seems fresh professional and alert. She seems incredibly with it - reflecting good talent acquisition and training - so much so that halo effect - I ask her if she knows anyone at the incubator lab or if theres someone at the lab who can make an intro. She does not lol - that was just the halo in action.
I had the privilege of getting in before a conference and then staying a day into its start. As a result, I got to see staff code switching. Your staff picked up on cues about language and mood, as well as responded to my inquiries, in which they communicated with me in a more colloquial manner. At the same time, whenever conference attendees or other guests were around they would transition back to hotelier staff behavior and dialect. This was done seamlessly.
The decor and design of the hotel was weird and delightful. I sent pictures to friends almost immediately upon arrival. To be clear, i had no idea what I was getting into BC i booked the hotel based almost entirely off of location.
There are reasonable explanations for the things that I didnt like and im only putting them down here so you can figure it if theyre actual problems that should be addressed or fixed outcomes from how your hotel operates
This is not a thing I did or didnt like but something you should be aware of - the pictures I sent really captivated a number of my friends. I feel like maybe I should habe heard of this hotel. I think its ripe for social media attention but there could be downsides to that. I was very much enamored. I think you could be used the weird vibe to get corporate retreats to do their retreats to cater to their younger staff for retention.
Note - the dinner food I ordered tasted bland esque but I could tell from other things the chef knew what he was doing. My impression - based on speaking with the staff on various tasks - is the hotel caters to a large clientele traveling from across the US, so they have to be somewhat conservative in terms of how they prepare food - look I'm from Louisiana so I take people visoting to restaurants where the food is too spicy without thinking about it, so I'm probably in the wrong here
