Fist time stay, but DEFINITELY not the last!
Pros:

Our stay was nothing short of AMAZING, had a few hiccups with our first room, but once guest service was made aware, the situation was rectified IMMEDIATELY! While everyone demonstrated a spirit of excellence, the valet team was definitely a cut above. We had several interactions with Mo, because we traveled in our motor home, and to accommodate a 53-ft home-on-wheel, is not always an easy task, but he made it happen. Just an overall GREAT group of people, that were kind, welcoming, and expedient! We will most definitely stay again!

Milton is a great server.
Pros:

Milton went above and beyond to ensure we had a great breakfast. The food was good and the mimosas were nice. We'll keep this restaurant in mind for the next time we're in Houston.

Beautiful And Quiet Weekday Breakfast Spot
Pros:

I am wild about a lovely cozy breakfast at Monarch! Having gone in for a breakfast expecting the usual American fare - I was delighted to find they had soup on the breakfast menu.

The soup was a delightful mushroom broth with mozzarella - intensely savory but balanced.

Our server Austin went above and beyond in unobstrusively showing us our way around the menu. He just got it right away, and knew with ease the differences between vegan, vegetarian which can be such a bore to explain. He got my partner in crime - my six year old kiddo - a customized order. Wasn’t expecting much from basic fare like toast, but I had to borrow from my kids flavorful plate.

Our server had a fantastic manner, enjoyable conversation at Monarch that always makes our trips down to the Museum District worthwhile.

The views are excellent, and the patio toasty yet with a light breeze filtering through the openings in their picturesque clear patio paneling.

Austin gave us great tips about the area, and we are certainly encouraged to come back with the family.

Top-Notch Service
Pros:

My corporate booking tool messed up my reservation, and Jessica went above and beyond to help secure a room for me. I arrived to the hotel tired after a long day of flight delays, and the fact that Jessica sensed that and took care of me immediately made me feel welcome. The hotel decor is quirky and funky in a good way, and the room was well-appointed and comfortable. I had a great stay and appreciate the great service.

High priced hotel - couldn't afford a long stay but nice for a couple days
Pros:

The bed and bedding were great. The wait staff in the restaurant was excellent. Jose was great! Liked the balcony even though it was too cold to use it. Liked the 3 mile radius shuttle service. All the guys were really nice and accomodating. Really appreciated the tip of having Daniel do our airport transportation. It was like having a friend pick you up even though we had never met before.

Cons:

Would have appreciated a later check out than 1pm with the situation I was in due to delayed flights due to weather. I was told I was NOT an American Express customer so 1pm was the latest I could have. Guy was curt and unpleasant. The Hotel was NOT full and for the price paid it is hard to believe I couldn't have another hour or two.
