Mantra Sydney Central

Great staff- really clean and big room. Very close to everything with the light rail outside.

The LightRail ( Chinatown station ) is located out the front of Mantra Central Sydney. This makes it easy to get to the shops for groceries, retail shopping and allows you to travel to so many destinations.
So many food options to choose from when wanting to dine out.
The staff are friendly, nothing was ever an issue for them.
Check in is 2pm but they called to advise that we could check in earlier, which was appreciated as we had arrived early in Sydney.

The location was ideal. Easy to get to. Checkin was easy and accomodating as i arrived early.
It was a good stay.

My wife and i were in Sydney for a next day surgery appointment. Anthony at the front desk was able to grant us a late checkout of 12 midday which was very helpful for our stay and the surgical appointment. It was very much appreciated. Anthony a credit to your establishment.

Description of the room was different once we got there, cups were stored in dusty cabinets, the balcony door handle was broken so you couldnt close or open it from the outside, the elevators smelt like damp beyond the location the hotel lacks much to offer

Living room windows lock was broken. Window opened multiple times

Air conditioning or heater was making loud noises.

Lot of noise around hotel at middle of night

Worn and purely functional
Weird layout with 2 bathrooms
No lamps.. so with stark lighting not cosy
Thought Mantra was better than this

The hotel was in a great location between Haymarket and George street which made it very convenient. The staff was very nice and friendly, she helped us to check in earlier than expected.

The room is okay but outside the room smelly like food

Was grateful for an upgrade from studio apartment to 1 bedroom apartment, the living area is spacious, bed room size adequate. The apartment is very dated in decor. Boiled the kettle & it tripped the fuses! Location is convenient to Central station train & light rail

The property was good in all areas but if the balconies are at the rear it was noisy because of the echo

The property was in a convenient area and close to transport. staff were helpful. The Sussex entrance was smelly due to the closeness to Chinatown.

Good central location. Fairly basic. We had a 1 bedroom, friends had a room, almost identical, would not spring for a 1 bed again

The location of this property was excellent. Darling Harbour was a short walk with lots of restaurants and public transport around.
The property itself, or the room we stayed in at least seemed quite outdated. The kitchen wasn’t very well stocked and the various sliding doors were quite difficult to open/close.
On saying that though the beds were comfortable and the front desk staff were lovely.
