I travel for work bed is very comfortable
when I checked in first they gave me a room in corner near the bin and it was very noisy, people chatting outside, I arrived night time and the room location was very dark for a not suitable for female room 40 not recommended to anyone. I requested to be moved to another room which is better but the bath tap was dirty and I requsted to be cleaned and when i get back after work still the same, lots of stain.
Perfect location for us to attend the debutante ball which was held in the convention centre. We were upgraded to the Cottage and the spacious cottage enabled us to enjoy time with family and friends.
The shower temperature was inconsistent 😟
We had a very comfortable 2 night stay. Upgraded with our Accor membership to Superior room with King bed. Newly refurbished room. Highly recommend. Spacious, clean, fresh, ample storage space, very good bathroom. Lots of room, heating, bathroom products great quality. Tea & coffee facilities very good. Fresh, good quality linen. Staff very friendly & helpful. We really enjoyed our breakfast. Great variety. Fresh. Evening drinks in bar was a lovely setting. Well stocked bar. Beautiful fire & comfortable setting for winter. No in house restaurant with the Mercure for dinner or cafe serving however a new Sicilian Restaurant not affiliated with the Mercure has recently opened in the last few weeks. We ate there on first night. It was very nice, upmarket. Not suitable for children. For families is the Golden Point Family Bistro & Sports Bar which caters for everyone & only a 5 minute walk if that. Thank you.
I have stay on the property quiet a few time over the last 10 years, As you will be aware the place is showing its age and really needs a though clean.
position
It had 24 hour reception
We chose a room that was extra to have a buffet breakfast but they chose not to have it on that morning because not many people were staying. They took an order and brought a small plate of food. We would have gone elsewhere if we had known in advance
The check in staff were lovely. Didn't eat at the property. The Room was spotlessly clean and the beds were really really comfortable. Great sized room.
N/A
The hotel grounds were pleasant with attractive brick buildings, greenery, water features and a spa.
The interior of the room was very disappointing, small, with ugly old furniture and a very tired, dated bathroom.
good location clean and orderly
inside roads were pot holes
The grounds of the property were lovely, great location
Bed was absolutely atrocious!
Rooms were freezing cold - being Ballarat and winter I would have expected electric blankets - even basic motels that I've stayed in have electric blankets.
On multiple occasions I had tried to call reception but no one answers.
When we arrived there were functions on, so no carparking available to check in, I had to circle multiple times until someone had moved out of the tiny 2minute bay.
The rooms are very old & definitely not worth the money that we paid for 2 nights.
The friendly, welcoming staff, the lovely gardens, comfortable bed.
Nothing
great breakfast, big room
The property is centrally located to Ballarat and the two bedroom is a good size for families b
Some parts of the apartment are clearly showing their age - timber window trim rotting, which in a Ballarat winter lets plenty of cold air in, and cupboards not hanging on hinges evenly.
Very private and clean.
The price was a bit high for what it was in Ballarat
