Ripped me off!
Pros:

The breakfast was the best thing about this place.

Cons:

definitely the staff the general manager himself is a low-life who stole $150 from me and she refused to give me back my deposit. he claimed there was blood on the sheets and a hole in the wall yet when he took us to the room to prove it to me neither one existed. once I called him out on this and demanded my money back he started telling me to get the f up the property or he was called the police..... very crooked owner if you ask me and I will never stay here again!!!!

Its not a bad spot to go if you have a lot of money to spend. They keep your deposit though.

I liked that they didn't bother us until they did.

Everything was good until I was kicked out because of m y daughters esa cat. I told the guy at the front desk I have service animals. One is to alert for my seizures-she is a dog. The other is for my daughters emotional well being. He said that was fine. I didn't know cats were not allowed on the property. This cat is trained for alysons condition. Anyway, I complied and they never returned my money as promised. Regardless, the last day I was there the office guy called the cops on me and said someone that was banned was seen going into my room! There is nobody else that goes into my room except my kiddo and I. I dont even know people around here, especially ones that would be banned from a motel. So it was great until they freaked out on me for their mistakes. I am contemplating forwarding these complaints to an ADA lawyer, but I was just hoping they would refund my money and be done with it all as promised. I did see 1 roach but that is not bad for the almost 2 weeks I was there. I was there for a week and a couple days. I saw the roach when I got there and never again.

Surestay are hotels which failed minimum standards by lower quality chains
Pros:

I am a frequest Best Western traveler, and although I have stayed at some decent Surestay properties, most are simply unacceptable. The neighborhood and the clientele who stay here would make for a good reality show.

Pros:

We had an activity in downtown Mesa, so this was a very reasonably priced option. In the past, when we made the reservation, it was listed as a Quality Inn, and that has changed. The reception clerk was professional, friendly and quick. Our room was clean, the HVAC worked, the hot water was hot, and the beds were comfortable. The venue is an older one but again it was clean and we would return. We cannot comment on the provided breakfast because brunch was our scheduled activity with family.
