Great location; huge rooms and loved that it was 3 floors so everyone had privacy.
The AC was very loud but not s loud as some of the cars racing down Main Street.
Stay was comfortable and close to location of event we were down for. Hotel felt very secure since you need a card to even enter the buildng. The staff was super friendly and informative.
If someone slipped into the building, nothing stopped them from going to the room floors. Maybe make the key scanner in the elevator needs to be used to get the elevator to select a floor?
Every staff person we encountered was so friendly, polite and helpful. Really the saving grace! Front desk staff was lovely, housekeeping obliging and the parking lot attendant was particularly gracious and welcoming. The exterior of the building is beautiful and appears to be a nicely restored historic spot
The hotel was very shabby. It was clearly communicated that there was construction ongoing but that does not account for ripped curtains, buckled and thread bare carpeting and bath towels, ac that did not seem to cool, a refrigerator that did not work and stains on walls and surfaces in the bathroom. Don't get me wrong, it was clean, but for the price paid I would have expected a bit more polished appearance. There were also horrible smells in every area of the hotel. Our room smelled like spoiled food, perhaps from something that had been stored in the non-working fridge (that lit up and seemed to work fine until you pulled your drink out of it and found it to be warm).
The staff are the highlight of the stay they’re super nice!
My room was on the third floor and it smelt like trash on the way to my room from the elevator and it was SO SO SO hot in our room it’s was terribly uncomfortable and the thermostat didn’t work.
Nice big well-appointed clean room. Excellent breakfast.
TV guide had multiple channels listed that weren't actually available. No place to drop off bags when checking in. Street people were high or drunk and unnerving.
