Residence Inn by Marriott Cleveland Mentor

I’ve stayed at the Mentor Marriott multiple times, and they always treat me incredibly well. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and genuinely makes you feel like a valued guest every time you walk through the door.

A special shoutout to Alicia — she’s top game! Always super friendly, conversational, and goes out of her way to make sure everything is taken care of. She really makes the experience feel personal and is a big reason I always enjoy coming back.

We had a very comfortable, pleasant stay at this hotel. It’s very clean and well-maintained throughout: our room was spotless and we appreciated the full-size fridge in the kitchenette. Breakfast was outstanding with lots of healthy options, loved the egg-white frittatas. Staff are friendly and helpful, Alicia helped to make our stay more enjoyable. The beautiful Headlands beach park on Lake Erie is just a few minutes away and we found good options for dinner very close by.

i'm writing this review to recognize a staff member who was very helpful and friendly. Alicia who works the front desk was very accommodating when booking my reservation and when i called multiple times with questions and to request an early check in. She did her best to help me out. I felt like i knew her on a personal basis by the time the weekend was over. Thanks Alicia for all your help and our conversation!

From the moment we arrived Alicia was the best!! She provided excellent service signing us up for the rewards program telling us everything about the space and even put up with my husbands jokes and jokes right back! Wonderful sleep and the rooms were perfect!

Had a wonderful time, as always! We always book this hotel when we come to visit. Love the kind and helpful staff, great atmosphere, clean hotel, and rooms every time.

The location was great and close to the family function we were attending. It was nice to walk to the restaurants nearby, there’s plenty of choices! The staff was friendly and always greeted you with a smile and asked how you were that day and if they could be of help. The room was clean and comfortable. We felt right at home during our stay! We loved the breakfast. Being so close to our family and having a good breakfast and the pool made this stay worth every penny, my kids almost had to be dragged out of the pool and Hot tub! We would absolutely recommend this hotel and will be back again in the future!

Alicia is the very best! She is the first person you meet at the Marriott Residence Inn, at Mentor, Ohio. Big smile, let me help you attitude.

She rescued us after a Hampton Residence Inn across the street tried to give us a room with no working AC or frig. We had a reservation there and they gave us the last room! We noticed the when others came in after us, they were given a room!

We walked across the street where Alicia who knew the situation was there ready to help us. Their rooms were all filled up but she found us a very satisfactory room where the AC and frig worked!

The room cleaning staff were very helpful too as well as the breakfast support person. I will be staying there again and recommending it to my friends. Thank you Alicia!

We have stayed here many times and this one was on par with great experiences we have had in the past. Alicia & Shannon at the front desk were very helpful and welcoming. Janet at breakfast was wonderful and served a lovely breakfast each morning, she would come around the tables and check on us and clear any empty plates. Joyce also helped us with a special request for our family and we were so pleased with our stay and the experience. The room was clean and maintained. We had a small maintenance issue but it was resolved very quickly. The maintenance and housekeeping staff were very friendly.

The toilet did not work. I had to remove the lid and replace the flap each time I used it to get the toilet to refill and stop running!
The lighting in the shower area was terrible also, very dim.

Very pleasant experience from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. Carol, the breakfast buffet attendant was helpful, attentive and friendly! The food was very good quality and looked appetizing. Housekeeping did an excellent job with our room!

The rooms are in need of repair. One lamp shade had a fist sized hole in it. There was tape securing the carpet to the floor by the bathroom door, large hole in carpet by entry door in room. Valance above closet door appeared to have been torn off and then reattached with only one nail. Housekeeping services are only offered every other day, we agreed Friday would be our first day for service , we did not get services on the agreed upon Friday. When we asked if they would do it Saturday we were told no. We were told to ask the front desk for extra supplies and when we did they gave the impression that we were putting them out. Room did not have all the linens needed to make up the sofa bed, nor was the sofa bed made up with basics prior to being folded up into the couch. This stay was very disappointing, especially for a hotel that holds the Marriott name.
