Familjen weekend
Pros:

Rymligt rum (svit) med dubbla sovrum och badrum samt vardagsrum och kök. Bodde familj med fem vuxna. Rent, fräsch och bekvämt.
Gratis parkering.

Cons:

Nära motorväg och tunna fönster, men trafiken avtog på kvällen. Be om ett rum som inte heter mot motorvägen.

Perfect location but needs better cleaning in the rooms.
Pros:

The staff was super nice. Free parking and close to downtown.

Cons:

Dirty dishes in the cupboard. The floor/carpet was wet from the kitchen area and never dried up. Maintenance came the next day and said he would have to get his supervisor to find out why it was wet. We left the next day before the supervisor ever came. Also found a used plastic glove in the living room.

Shocking lack of oversight. Did Marriott forget this hotel exists? Whomever is managing should not be.
Pros:

Hotel is not being cleaned. Hallways, elevators, room all had signs of lack of oversight. Wrappers on hallway floors, sticky floor in room; hair on wall in shower, smudges on elevator walls and door.

A flooding incident occurred during my 13-night business trip. I had to evacuate in the middle of the night at 1 am to change rooms. Unfortunately, half of my clothes, including very expensive designer clothes worth over $3,000, were damaged. Consequently, I had to leave the hotel a day earlier due to the inconvenience and the extremely loud air conditioning. (I was obviously reimbursed for that day.)

Despite my repeated inquiries and ongoing requests for reimbursement for my damaged clothes or at least coverage for the remainder of my trip (which is still less than the cost of the damaged clothes), they continue to send me daily to call again because “management” is unavailable.

I am still willing to give them the benefit of the doubt for another week, but if I don’t receive a reimbursement, I will be forced to seek legal action through my lawyers. This situation is simply ridiculous!

Needs a redo!
Pros:

We had chose to stay at this hotel as I could use a nightly upgrade award for a 2 bedroom suite for my family. This hotel is tired, the room had numerous ceiling issues from leaks being on the top floor of the building. The hotel is in dire need of a renovation. The TVs in the room are small and the bathrooms are dark. The breakfast was average Residence Inn and we chose to eat elsewhere. This hotel wouldn’t be my first choice in Charleston.

Excellent stay and value
Pros:

The breakfast was wonderful and the staff were super kind and helpful. Our room was a little small, but it was clean and comfortable. Overall very pleasant experience!

Cons:

The only thing I’d recommend is just having a better area for service animals. There was only a small area of grass on the property we had to walk our Service dog across the street.
