Honestly, this hotel was a bit of a let down. I know it’s a mid-tier hotel so was not expecting it be phenomenal but expected a bit better as a Titanium member.
At check-in I was given a room on the first floor, I asked if I could be given a room on a higher floor (a high floor preference is listed in my profile) and was told there were none available without even checking. I had booked a one bedroom suite but would have happily taken any other room type if it meant I could be given a room on a higher floor. I would have even been willing to wait if there would be a room available a little later, but no options were given and I got the impression the person checking me in was not interested in moving my room. I realize my stay was booked with points but given my status I did expect more.
To add insult to injury, my room faced the hotel next door. This property is situated where you get water views in the back, partial water views and greenery in both the front and one side, so out of the four possible sides only one faces a hotel next door with no view. I was given a room on the first floor with the absolute worst view.
Finally, the rooms are tiny! The queen sized bed barely fits in the bedroom and the TV’s, while average sized also almost do not fit.
My recommendation, go with the Springhill Suites bed door which has water views on all sides and no first floor rooms.
The positive is that the hotel is very clean.
Clean, well proportioned room. Plenty of parking and pleasant breakfast.
It’s a bit dated and the pool is small and uninviting looking. Not the easiest place to get into town from.
The location was great. We loved that the shuttle that took us downtown. The drivers I drove the shuttle a great and the staff at the hotel was great.
The breakfast could’ve been a little bit better
Glad that hotels are now offering kitchens. Appreciated the shuttle to the historic section of town. Staff was responsive when it was late for the 7am shuttle.
Why so many different prices when trying to book? They had music piped in the main hallway ALL NIGHT LONG. Our door was just around the corner. Why do hotels feel the need they have to jam in huge TVs that dominate the rooms? Some of the doors didn't close easily or well. A slider on the ground floor didn't latch well - a security risk.

Breakfast is not special.
The stuff was cutting the grass at 7:30 in the morning. The outside door next to our window was making extremely loud sound.
Rooms
Facilities are basic
the room was close to an alternative exit that gave us quick access to the parking lot
Apart from grits and oats, the vegetarian breakfast was mainly packaged food since the waffle maker was broken and there were no breakfast potatoes in any shape or form
The bathroom did not have an exhaust! kitchen was also partially equipped with no toaster
Staff very nice. Trinton very helpful with up scaling our room
I would like to commend Trinton Porter for his exemplary service and kindness. He assisted me with printing out some documents that I had requested. Instead of just sending me down the hall, he personally walked down the hall with me and printed the documents for me. That is so wonderful since I am not so computer savvy.
Thank you so much for your kindness!
Room was not a great location
Staff unfriendly
Spacious, clean room. Closed balcony was very comfortable during wind and rain.
No makeup remover cloths in bathroom
