It was very nice
The location and theme
Was a nice room, friendly staff.
Had to pay to park in the parking garage of the hotel.
My daughter and I stayed at the Chase Park Plaza for a weekend and it was wonderful. The property is in a great location near the Central West End and Forest Park. I was a little concerned with it being so close to the hospital complex and there being ambulance sirens, but there were none. The minute we walked into the lobby it felt very welcoming. We had a package that included self parking in the connected parking garage with in and out privileges; otherwise there is valet parking available. There is a resort fee but it includes a $15 credit towards a room service order which we used for breakfast each morning. The room we had was a one bedroom suite with a pull out sofa bed. The living area is spacious and well appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. The room was also very clean.
I took a walk around the hotel and found that on the main floor there is a movie theater, a restaurant, a bar/pub and various ballrooms where they were holding what appeared to be a competition of some sort. There is also a pool and outdoor seating area which I'm sure is very nice in the summer- but alas, it was not open yet when we went.
All in all, it was a very nice stay. The only thing lacking was a microwave in the room. There is a fridge, and a microwave would have made it complete to warm up left overs that we had. Other than that, everything was great! I highly recommend the Chase Park Plaza if you are looking for a nice, quiet place to stay near the heart of St Louis/Central West End.
Exceptional Stay at the Royal Sonesta – Truly Impressive
From three days before my arrival in St. Louis to my final moments at checkout, my stay at the Royal Sonesta was truly excellent. This was my second visit, as this is an annual trip for me, and the experience exceeded my expectations once again.
After my stay last year, I signed up for their membership program, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that my reservation had been upgraded—or perhaps enhanced in some way. I’m not entirely sure which, but the suite I received this year was absolutely beautiful. While last year’s room may have been slightly larger, this one felt just as luxurious and thoughtfully designed.
A few days prior to arrival, the hotel reached out via text to ask if I had any special requests. That personal touch immediately stood out. Upon check-in, I was warmly welcomed, my room was ready, and everything was seamless.
When I entered my suite, I was genuinely impressed—it featured a sitting area, desk, separate bedroom, and a spacious walk-in closet in addition to a coat closet. Even more impressive, the front desk had already noted and fulfilled my preferences: a bathtub, proximity to the elevators, and a high floor.
After settling in, I requested a high chair to do my hair and makeup, and within 15 minutes, they delivered a director’s chair—completely above and beyond what I expected. Every request I made, including those via text, was handled promptly and graciously.
The hotel itself is stunning—elegant, upscale, and connected to high-end residences. There is an abundance of attentive staff, two excellent restaurants, and even a charming old-time movie theater inside the hotel. Just next door is a fantastic grocery and deli, which adds even more convenience.
An amazing hotel experience from start to finish. I look forward to returning again next year.
We have never stayed here before. Absolutely would recommend to anyone. Quiet ,clean, pet friendly, movie theater on site, elegant. Perfect for a wedding. Breathtaking view of the banquet floor. City view. Banquet food was best I've ever had!
This hotel was fantastic. The staff were helpful and always friendly. Would recommend to anyone for a great place to stay in St Louis.
It’s a beautiful hotel with warm and friendly people who work there. i went with my family and we requested rooms near each other and the staff could not have been nicer. It’s a beautiful hotel with a great location.
What a lovely historic hotel! It’s our first time here, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!
We stayed here for the MSS event and had a great experience overall. The front desk Caitlyn, Chloe and Adriana helped us a lot during our stay. They are super nice, very helpful and truly welcoming. They helped us checkout today and never hesitated with any of our requests! Their hospitality really stood out and made us feel taken care of. When we arrived, the AC in our room wasn’t working very well, which was a bit frustrating. However, the front desk team quickly assisted us, and in the end everything worked out smoothly. We are really appreciated their effort and responsiveness. Thank you again for the excellent service, it made our stay much more enjoyable!
This is a beautiful, historic hotel in a great location. The conference facilities were fantastic. What really made the trip was Panela, the concierge. On two separate occasions, she went above and beyond to assist me. It is rare to see such a personal touch and it truly made my stay memorable.
I always stay here when I go to St Louis. The hotel is well decorated and high quality, not a gilded facade like most places. Above all the staff is second to none. They are always welcoming and friendly to all guests.
Beautiful hotel, attentive staff.
Very slow elevators, large private events during week nights.
I was amazed at my 1st time experience at the Royal Sonesta Chase Park. It really was home away from home. I loved how clean everything was from when I entered the lobby to how fast & efficient the check in was. Adriana & Caitlyn both had vast knowledge of the hotel so I was able to find my way around and they acknowledged my platinum status. I also wanted to give a shout out to the bellman Michael. He was always available to help with my luggage. Every time I went to Preston Ms. Ashley made me feel like I was a VIP and not to mention our waiter Greg. He was able to provide a level of service that made me want to go back! I want to go back soon in the summer when the pool is open.
The Chase was a great spot for our recent 4-night stay. The huge, rambling property has been beautifully renovated in a kind of midcentury-meets-Hollywood-glam style that reminded me of Jonathan Adler’s aesthetic, quirky yet timelessly chic. Our double-queen room was super quiet and comfortable. Though we both prefer softer pillows than the huge ones on the beds, that’s just us (since fat pillows now seem to be standard everywhere). Also, the big bathroom didn’t have enough towel bars, which seemed odd considering that it was the size of a NYC studio, and the tub was a bit slippery. We enjoyed two copious breakfasts in The Preston and tasty snacks in the Chase Club. The Central West End location is very appealing—across from Forest Park and near many shops and restaurants. We would most definitely stay here again.
Historic, Location, friendly & helpful staff.
The staff is always great and the onsite amenities include several restaurants and bars and casual to sit down meals. The pool is amazing and the movie theater is great to get a few hours with the kids away. A real destination place to go!
Fantastic service. Comfortable bed. Had dinner at the Preston and had the Preston catch which was excellent.
Gym in the lower level was much larger than a typical hotel gym with a ton of equipment. Would definitely come back
Stayed in a room next to the elevator and we could hear it the entire night.
