A beautiful place to stay in Alesund
Pros:

The breakfast is the best in my Norway trip so far. The location is great! The room door is not automatically locked when you close the door, you need to swipe the card again to lock it. Double security. The girl in the front desk offered hotel’s garage for my car and suggested a few free street parking place for us as well. Very helpful!

Cons:

Front desk staff should tell the customer that the room door is not automatically locked.

Great stay with amazing waterfront views and fantastic breakfast
Pros:

I had a very pleasant stay at Thon Hotel Ålesund. The breakfast was fantastic, with a very good selection and excellent quality. I was also upgraded for free to a room with a lovely view, which made my stay even more special. The hotel kindly agreed to early check-in, which I really appreciated.
The Wi-Fi worked well, the front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and the location of the hotel is excellent. The waterfront view is absolutely amazing and was one of the highlights of my stay.

Cons:

One thing I did not like was the service at the evening restaurant. The staff there were not very helpful and seemed quite strict with the menu options. When I asked about the chicken burger or fish and chips, I was told those were only for kids, which did not seem like a reasonable response. I have stayed in Thon hotels for a long time in Oslo and Bergen, and normally the restaurant staff are very accommodating, so this was a bit disappointing. Also, the variety in the evening menu was limited.

Hotell med god atmosfære. Beliggende i område med mye å oppleve og se.👌🏻
Pros:

Bra beliggenhet. Nært fabrikkscena og flere barer, puber og spisesteder. Kvikke farger og fint oppusset hotell. Pluss for egen inngang til nærmeste pub. Pluss for høflig og effektivt ryddepersonale i frokostsalen.
