Good but for the price should have been better
Pros:

The rooms are renovated and very nice interior

Cons:

The staff was not helpful, we ordered room service waited and when it arrived the food was just half of what we ordered as they ran out of the rest. No one called us to inform us we were with our kids

The bathrooms are marble and have stains all over you do not know if it is clean or not

Great hotel, terrible bed.
Pros:

Beautiful spa. Great breakfast and perfect location.

Cons:

A double bed was two beds pushed together. This often happens, but the beds were so soft you hit the hard frame of the bed, the minute you sat on the mattress. Both mattresses sunk in the middle so there was, in-effect a ridge between the two beds. This had the effect of keeping us apart, unless we shared one single bed. A bed is a basic in a hotel. I've travelled extensively with work and never complained about a bed. It's a basic requirement to get right.
Very low lighting in the room.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder.
Pros:

Die Lage und das Frühstück, das inklusive war, haben uns gefallen.

Cons:

Die Lichtschalter waren teilweise ungewöhnlich verbunden, sodass man das Licht einschalten musste, um das Handy zu laden oder auf die Toilette zu gehen.

Cons:

I stayed in this hotel couple of times in the past, last time around 3 years ago. Experience was great back than and that's why I came back again this time. Nevertheless the experience was disappointing this time in comparison to what i experienced before.
It feels l to me like the hotel did a lot of cost cutting resulting in:
- Less stuff at the reception ( sometimes there was no one), the stuff seems to be rather junior resulting in topic to solve taking long time as the person at the reception needed to wait for more senior colleagues
- chaos at invoicing, checking out. I had one booking for two rooms, but was charged partially resulting in 3 invoices for different part of the stay instead of just one invoice. Took 15 minutes to figure out was was charged and for what
I had two rooms ( one for my Dad and one for me). They put my Dad very next to the lift and every time the lift moved, there was noise in the room. I took two hours to work with the reception so they can find another room.

superb location, excellent staff, very good spa facilities, great breakfast, average food at the Stubli

The quality of pillows and duvets is much lower to the standards of a hotel of this rating
