AMAZING - BEST TIME EVER - EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT
Pros:

The helpers kept the rooms maintained and made sure we had all resources in our hotel room -AMAZING SERVICE!! Staff in the hotel are extremely welcoming and kind. Everything was AMAZING - BEST TRIP EVER - AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL VIEWS!!!

Good value for money with minor issues
Pros:

Location was perfect just off the main strip so close by far away enough for the noise to be very low

Cons:

Sun bed wars ! Some people left their towels for over 4 hours and not been back whilst families where having to use chairs

Pros:

One thing I can’t fault this hotel for are the rooms. Spacious and clean. The staff particularly in the restaurant who were so lovely to my toddler, always polite and worked hard. Check in was quick and we were shown to room straightaway. Location was ideal and security were quick to deal with issues of noisy neighbours.

The entertainers who ran the mini disco. Made such an effort to make sure my little girl could join in and wasn’t trodden on.

I really enjoyed the NYE banquet and again staff very attentive.

I gave 3 stars because once NYE was over I saw a dip in entertainment. Maybe it was a quiet few days with staff rotating and going home but we paid a lot of money for our stay so it was disappointing when the entertainment dropped and the entertainment they did have was geared towards the Spanish guests where we didn’t know what was going on because they didn’t speak in English at all.

There were shards of glass in the bar all around the floor which I was still picking up 2 days later, despite making staff aware of this.

The food was not the best and I’m not a picky eater. The NYE banquet was fantastic but then the rest of the week was disappointing.

Maybe we need to return more towards peak season to see if things are different but not sure I would recommend for the winter months

My thoughts on Hotel Sol Pelicanos
Pros:

Nice friendly, clean and comfortable hotel. Reception staff were amazing and they were very helpful nothing seemed a bother to them. Food was really good with a wide variety to choose from. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Cons:

Didn't like being watched during meal times by staff in case we took any alcohol. It made us feel uncomfortable. Also whilst eating our food a woman from the hotel came round asking my friends and I if we were attending the entertainment. It's nice to eat our food in peace without being pestered by this woman.

Not the best
Pros:

Room was spacious, shower decent, food was awful, most of the cooked items at breakfast time were burnt, evening meal was just as bad but potatoes and other vegetables were rock hard. Entertainment started off well, then rapidly went down hill, magician spoke Spanish throughout his routine so we as English people couldn't enjoy his routine,shattered glass particles over the floor near the stage and on the stage, members of staff were informed, it was still there the following night, we were picking it up as had a young toddler with us, on the plus it was very central!
