Lovely resort and good activities, food and drink was hit and miss though.
Pros:

I stayed at this hotel the first week of May 2026 with my partner for 7 nights. We upgraded to the reserve and stayed in the reserve ocean view room, here’s how it went.

Upon arrival (which was around 15 minutes in private transport from the airport), we were welcomed to the reserve reception where we waited for 10-15 minutes for someone to assist us. We then had a glass of cava when booking in and our bags taken to our room which was great.

The room was light and spacious, with the bathroom having a waterfall shower and toilet sectioned off. The room came with a lovely huge bed which we slept great in and a balcony great for relaxing on and a full mini bar which was stocked daily. This had soft drinks, water (still and sparkling) and beer. We also had a bottle of rum, local snacks, a large water and a bottle of red on arrival. We prefer white, and they kindly changed the bottle in our room to accommodate this.

The bathroom came with spare toothbrushes and toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser, shaving kit, cotton pads, sanitary towels, a bar of soap and cotton ear buds, so do not fear if you forget to pack things! It also came with a hairdryer and a steamer.

The resort itself is beautiful, having a nature theme throughout and an easy layout to follow during your stay. They also have a resident turtle called Molo, so keep an eye out for him! They also had little clothes shops and a jewellers which had some lovely pieces for good prices. I got a bracelet and a ring which I love.

The ginger bar was a lovely spot in the evenings with entertainment each evening which was enjoyable. The service at the bar was a little slow though, as you cannot go up and order, but rather someone comes to you to take your order which can take some time.

There are 3 restaurants and a buffet. We ate at the Italian (Copella) 3 times and the middle-eastern restaurant once, but did not try La Garcioca as the tapas menu did not appeal to us, however we had lunch there several times and enjoyed, the cheesecake was particularly lovely.

The food overall was hit and miss in my own opinion; some dishes were great, whilst others were nothing special. We tried a range of vegetarian and meat dishes at all restaurants for lunch and dinner and felt some dishes were much better than others.

The Middle Eastern restaurant was my least favourite as the options just felt limited to me, but my partner enjoyed the lamb kebabs. The beach bar at the reserve pool had a range of lunch options which we enjoyed, including wraps and burgers.

The Italian was different every time, the bruschetta was amazing but the mains differed, with the first time we had it my food being lukewarm and the last time we ate there it was the best meal I’d had at the resort.

The buffet, which we ate at a couple times, was well presented and had a range of food. The salad was lovely and fresh and the pasta which they had on every night was a safe option. The desserts were varied and some were really tasty. I do feel that the standard of food in the buffet and the restaurants were much the same, and I had wished that the standard was a little higher in the restaurants for that upgraded feel.

The drinks were overall a mixed bag; the beer and wine were delicious, along with the white and rose cava which was a real treat. The cocktails were not so good, having tried many on the menu my favourite was the pina colada, but the others weren’t super tasty.

The reserve upgrade, for us, felt very much worth it. The room was beautiful and was very comfortable, I was impressed by it. The reserve lounge was a great place to relax at all times of the day and had top shelf alcohol and snacks available always. The reserve pool was much more quiet and relaxing than the main pool, purely for it having less people around so we always had a good spot to sunbathe, and the Bali beds were particularly relaxing. Not sure if this was only a reserve feature, but we also had direct access to the staff via WhatsApp, where we could book dinners, book activities and they even delivered aftersun lotion to the room for free after I got very burnt! (However they did take 2+ hours and a follow up message to deliver it, but it was appreciated nonetheless).

Another great reserve feature was the breakfast. This was an al-e-carte option each morning with a range of meals, incoming pancakes, crepes, yoghurt/porridge bowls, avocado on toast and a variety of egg options. All of them were lovely each morning and there was a select buffet also with fresh pastries, fruit and cured meats. Breakfast was served in the same area as the Middle Eastern restaurant, with direct access to the reserve pool.

If you can do the upgrade then do, in my opinion.

We also took part in a range of activities at the resort, including a bookmark making workshop, glass workshop, wine and jam experience, mojito cocktail making and meditation. The meditation took place by the sea and was absolutely beautiful. Both instructors were fantastic and friendly. The bookmark making was creative yet peaceful, with the reps telling you legends about the island whilst you make your bookmark. The glass workshop was an opportunity to make your own glass necklace which was so fun to do. The wine and jam experience was very laid back, and was the only activity we didn’t really enjoy. The mojito making master class was really fun and something we will definitely be trying again now we’re home.

A final useful feature of the resort was a portal where you could rent a car. We paid €67 for a soft top which was the most expensive option and around €10 to fill it up at the end of the day. You simply drop the keys back at the kiosk so it was really convenient and a good cost.

The hotel also has a spa, which appeared to have limited features which you had to book and I believe pay for. We both did the aloe Vera treatment which was a facial and full body massage, which was lovely but not entirely relaxing as the spa was a bit noisy and we could hear other people walking around/beginning their treatment. Because of this we didn’t totally think that the spa treatment was good value for money, considering the two treatments were around €400 total.

Overall, I’d rate the resort 4 out of 5 stars. It was a beautiful place, convenient from the airport, good breakfast and a wonderful room. The food however was hit and miss, and the cocktails could be improved. If you book here, throw yourselves into the activities as they won’t disappoint.

Great Place to Stay
Pros:

Hotel is in a great location. 20 minutes in a taxi from Arrecife airport. Upgrade to the Reserve is well worth the additional cost. On arrival were warmly greeted by the reception staff. All the staff in the reserve were exceptional and naming them all would be a long list, however, particular thanks to Carina, Paula and Chandini. Breakfast all staff in the Reserve restaurant (Prescilla, Pedro) again, we could name many more but it would be a long list - thank you all. Buffet restaurant (Malva) food was good as were all the staff again, too many to mention.

Room was clean and mini bar restocked each day. To note - there were deck chairs on our balcony. We mentioned to Reserve Reception that they were uncomfortable and they replaced them with rattan chairs which were much better. So, if you have any problems, just mention it to reception and they will do their best to accommodate. Also worth noting if you are independent, you can gain free entry to Mirador del Rio and other attractions on the Island which we did and they were well worth it - ask at reception.

Tried the three restaurants without too much trouble booking. All were very good as were the staff in each one.

Outside the hotel there is a taxi rank and bus stops. The number 3 bus will take you into Arrecife (Open Mall - 25 minutes) and Porta del Carmen.

This is a lovely hotel to stay in and everyone was always happy to help. A special 'thank you' to Chloe for all her help and professionalism. We hope to return.

What a fantastic hotel
Pros:

This was our third visit to Paradisus Salinas by Melia. Our first year was fabulous but last year we were only there for one and half days because of the flooding when we had to be transferred to another hotel. This year we were there for a week again and the only problem was the weather – and no-one can do anything about that! We could not wish to be stuck indoors in a better hotel than Paradisus – there are lots of lovely places to sit and read, relax with drinks and snacks on hand all day. There is a large TV showing sport if that’s your choice and of course our room is comfortable and has several UK channels on the TV.
On arrival we were greeted with a friendly welcome and help with our luggage to the room. We appreciated the lovely room, which we will request again (304). We had a lovely bottle of bubbles on ice when we arrived in our room – thank you. Our room was cleaned beautifully each day with beach and bathroom towels changed frequently. We also really appreciated the turn-down service each evening. There is plenty of storage space although the space for hanging long dresses is quite tiny.
Everywhere is absolutely spotless and there are always members of staff around the various areas, should you need anything. The whole design of the hotel, furniture, colour schemes and atmosphere create a wonderful feeling of tranquility everywhere. And even though the hotel was probably nearly full there were never crowds around.
The food is amazing at each meal. Husband and I have widely differing tastes and neither of us struggled at all. The buffet dishes are replenished regularly but there is always a feeling of calm in the buffet area with no-one pushing trollies of dirty plates and cutlery around which we experience in many hotels.
The serving staff are very efficient and friendly but if we have one issue it’s that wine has to be requested and poured by the glass – we prefer to have a bottle of house wine at the table. Having said that, the house wines were excellent. managed to get one evening booking at the Italian restaurant which we thoroughly enjoyed, and we ate one evening at the La Graciosa one evening.
The pools are lovely although we only had one full day outside. Another small niggle, which we have mentioned before, is that the sunbeds are not comfortable and need to have padded cushions on them – I understand that this is part of the upgrade to Signature level. The outside bar is great, and all drinks can be served from there.
The lounge bar has snacks throughout the day and drinks of course. In the evening the waiter service was rather slow in the main bar, but it was busy. All branded drinks are available on All Inclusive which is great and the ‘porn star martini’ is the best I have ever tasted!
All in all, we had a wonderful holiday and are preparing to book again for next year. Paradisus has been become a very special, peaceful and restful place for us. Roll on next year!

A perfect honeymoon!
Pros:

After a wonderful holiday here in 2024 we decided to return this week for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did!
Our room is beautiful and the food is even better than we remembered however for us it is the staff that really make Paradisus Salinas such a unique place. In particular, Chandini made our honeymoon so special - she even remembered when we got engaged here during our last stay! Chandini is truly fantastic at her job and is also a very kind and thoughtful lady. We will forever be grateful to her for giving us such a truly memorable holiday.
Thank you Paradisus Salinas for another fabulous trip, we can’t wait to see you again x

Excellent Hotel
Pros:

We stayed for a week at the end of April this being our third visit to the hotel. We stayed in a a Reserve Ocean View Suite.

The room (435) was spacious, modern, plenty of space for clothes, and had a superb view being on the top floor. The cleaning staff kept it spotless, restocked the fridge and replaced the towels every day.

We were lucky enough to eat in the 3 themed restaurants ( La Graciosa - Canarian, Capello - Italian, and Samira - Middle Eastern ) during our stay all of which were excellent and gave you the feeling of ‘going out’ for a meal.

We mainly had breakfast in the Samira which was table served for Reserve guests. Lunch was in the Malva - the main restaurant. The Malva has improved greatly since our last visit and offered a wide range of choice and some of the best deserts we have ever had at hotel buffet restaurants.

As many reviewers have said, the staff are second to none with their help and support, providing efficient and friendly service. In short they can’t do enough for you.

To name all the excellent staff who we would like to would create a list as long as your arm, so I’d just like to thank a few unfortunately.

Carina and Chandini in the Reserve Reception who helped us with restaurant bookings, a late check out, and our general mithering.

Africa in the Malva who was friendly, helpful and constantly busy working hard.

Chloe who responds to the Trip Advisor reviews in an entertaining and fair way who helped us prior to our arrival and during our stay.

The hotel is well positioned with easy access to the beach which seemed more sandy this time, the nearby shops etc, and all other facilities. Most importantly the area felt safe and relaxing.

The hotel itself has the most amazing architecture and grounds and adds to a relaxing holiday atmosphere.

The drinks, food, and entertainment in the Ginger Bar are really good and again the staff provide excellent service. It is only right to mention Jhon who served us on a number of occasions with a smile on his face while working very hard all the time.

So, will we come back - yes.
Can we honestly recommend the hotel - yes.
Can we recommend the Reserve despite the additional cost - yes.
Did we join the Circle - yes.

We must also thank Sara from the Circle for helpfully, patiently, and transparently helping us come to this decision during our stay.

We hope you find this review helpful and reassuring.

Wonderful hotel, as ever
Pros:

This was our fifth return to Paradisus Salinas at The Reserve. We upgraded to a villa from junior suite ocean view thanks to our excellent concierge Chandni and really enjoyed the experience! As previously, attention to detail with all the restaurants and quality of all-inclusive food was unparalleled as were all the staff who were so professional and welcoming. Delgado and Adrian in the Reserve pool bar were terrific- thank you so much! Blen taught us about real passion for Lanzarote and the Paradisus itself- you are a remarkable ambassador! We made the Mojo sauce!
Elias booked us in and kindly checked us out- efficiently, friendly and warm- thank you!
Carina welcoming as always- thank you and Paula and Sandra- so professional!
Fabian cheerful as ever in the restaurants- you are inspiring.
Maria and Reuben cajoled us into activities!
For La Graciosa we were fortunate enough to eat in, we thank Maria, Michel, Sheila, Cintia, Araceli and terrific cooks Ares, Julien and so clean thanks to Oscar!
The Coppella restaurant was really improved since the previous September- our wonderful staff there we didn’t get your names I’m sorry but special mention to our Italian waiter with the best Tiramisu recipe- you know who you are!

Exceptional stay with unforgettable entertainment
Pros:

Paradisus Salinas exceeded all expectations. The hotel’s stunning architecture and beautifully designed gardens create a unique atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The rooms are modern, fresh, spotless, and equipped with everything you need, including great quality products
The service was consistently friendly and professional, while the food and drinks were outstanding. We also loved the variety of activities, from cooking classes and dancing to Pilates on SUP boards. The evening entertainment was truly exceptional, with different bands and incredibly talented musicians every night. Highly recommended.

A chilled and relaxing holiday
Pros:

Just returned from a week at this wonderful hotel and really enjoyed our stay.
We stayed in the reserve section and well worth the upgrade, lovely breakfast room, chilled pool area and great to enjoy the Al A Carte restaurants throughout the week.
Entertainment was mainly bands and singers in the Ginger bar each evening, some were very good and some not so !
Food in the Al a Carte restaurants was excellent in all 3, really enjoyed them.
Special mentions to some of the staff who were brilliant in making our stay so enjoyable,

Priscilla - guest service
Carol, Fani and Hamza- reserve bar
Monica - buffet
Africa - breakfast in Reserve

There were many others too who provided great and friendly service.

We had a few cloudy days but the sun did shine for the second half of the week and we relaxed and chilled all week.

Will 100% be returning.

Spoilt by Film Crew
Pros:

Hotel immaculate. Lovely room with pool / sea view. Great food both in buffet and themed restaurants.
During our stay filming crew present for several days, restricting access to some area’s including access to our Room (16). We found their presence inconvenient and disappointed we were not forewarned by management. I did mention the restrictive access to our room at reception when we were informed filming would be finished by 8pm

Honeymoon
Pros:

We visited here in April for 7 nights for our honeymoon.
Everything was amazing.
The room, the service, the food. Nothing was to much trouble for anyone.
It was so clean.
The mini bar in the room refilled everyday.
Clean towels.
There honestly isn’t anything bad I can say about staying here. We will most definitely return.
The activity’s everyday, the music on an evening, being so close to the beach you could go to everyday! 10/10 would recommend!

Nice hotel
Pros:

Really nice hotel. Amazing architecture around the hotel. Plenty of loungers and great space by the pool.
Very clean and Staff friendly.
Some good activities planned- shame we couldn’t get a space on the glass making workshop but fully booked.
Mixology with Chris was great.
Food lovely and plenty of Choice. la Graciosa had the best seafood.
Shack bar during day really good for food and drinks.
Tv Crew filming around hotel. We weren’t informed and had bright lights shining on the balcony all yesterday evening till midnight. Went to reception who said couldn’t give a time they would be finishing. Not able to relax peacefully on balcony like we usually do after entertainment finishes. Would have been nice to be told then could have left hotel on that night.
Easy to get to Costa Teguise walking.
Beach bar good- get 20% off if staying in hotel. Again was out of action for filming on some dates.

Excellent - could not fault
Pros:

The hotel setting is great, the view from our balcony was stunning and whilst the weather was not fabulous absolutely everything else about our 4 night stay was. It is so comfy in the hotel that even when the sun wasn't shining it was cosy to sit in the lounge bar or the Reserve lounge and enjoy the atmosphere. We were visiting with family and both couples had Junior Suites with whirlpool baths on the balcony (434 and 438) which were lovely spacious immaculate rooms and we never heard anything between the rooms or from the corridor.

We were visiting to celebrate a birthday and the staff went out of their way to make it special. We especially liked the Tapas and Pool Bar for lunch each day, service with a smile as always and tasty food options that suited us. We were fortunate to also experience the Italian and Tapas tasting menu in the speciality restaurants and both were excellent as was the buffet restaurant. We always had breakfast in the Reserve restaurant which was very good and lovely to have the table service that provides.

Every single one of the staff we encountered were so friendly polite and charming, it 100% felt like they were enjoying their roles and nothing was too much trouble, I would go as far as saying we all agreed one of the best hotels we have stayed in for consistent food, service, comfort and general atmosphere.

The Reserve Team and Chloe were stand out for us as we had more contact with them but the whole hotel and staff are a credit to Melia.

We will return most definitely, thank you.

Our experience
Pros:

This is our 3rd time to Paradise Salinas.
Great location for bars, shops. Within the hotel everything is close by rooms, restaurants etc. extremely friendly and helpful staff. To the team that we had contact with Maria, Marcus, Kevin, Jo, Miguel & Ruben. Nothing was too much trouble always happy to help.
Out room was facing the back of the hotel, but as we didn’t spend to
Much time in there it wasn’t a problem. Extremely clean. Entertainment was always worth a watch.
Service was brilliant and atmosphere was great a very calming stay.
The only thing to disappoint was that for the last 2 years the beach bar had been part of the all inclusive. However, this year you had to buy drinks albeit with a 20% discount. Hence we didn’t go down as all inclusive was at the top of the steps!

Stark überteuert für das, was geboten wird.
Pros:

Die Poollandschaft, die Lage. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter überall.

Cons:

Durch die offene Bauweise des Hotels sehr zugig überall, dazu sind dann noch alle Türen offen. Auch verirren sich dadurch einige Vögel ins Gebäude und sitzen oft im Speisesaal fest. Essen in Buffetform wenig abwechslungsreich.
