Highlight of our Anniversary
Pros:

A wonderful stay from start to finish. This was a special anniversary for us and the hotel's welcome was both warm and imaginative. Staff were supremely friendly and helpful – indeed, everywhere in Yogiakarta we were met by smiling faces, making it feel more like Thailand than a predominantly Muslim country. Perhaps it's no accident that local people are so proud of the historic Hindu and Buddhist temples, repeatedly repaired after news earthquakes. At the practical level, airport transfers were safe and reliable, our room was spacious and well-equipped, breakfast was varied and high quality – and, at current exchange rates, it was a bargain.
Worth paying extra for a garden-view room, since some street-facing rooms are close to loud daily calls to prayers from early morning onwards.

Property appear nice, but dated. Food was just ok, service at the restaurants can be better.

Cons:

Bed is not that comfortable. Food at breakfast was just ok, not that good quality or have great varieties or change of options (we stayed 4 nights, so it became very repetitive). The Chinese restaurant food was not good. Service at the restaurant can be better. We tried ordering flat white coffee during breakfast, some staff know what it is and some don't and don't know to ask. We ended up get it sometimes and not some other time. Regular black coffee quality also not consistent.

Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at the Melia Hotel, where everything was perfect.
The hotel is ideally located in the heart of the city and a 5-minute walk from the famous and lively Malioboro Street.
The service is impeccable and very attentive.
Special mention goes to the staff and management for their helpfulness, warm welcome, and exceptional kindness.

Suprise birthday that wasn't planned but was execute perfectly..

Our stay at Melia Purosani Yogyakarta became far more meaningful than we ever imagined, thanks to the incredible team there.
This trip was meant to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and honestly, he already considered the trip itself as the celebration so he wasn’t expecting anything else. What made it truly special was how the staff turned a simple moment into an unforgettable surprise. I only had a few discreet minutes to chat at the reception counter, as I didn’t want my husband to know I was arranging a surprise. Yet in that short moment, the team immediately understood what I hoped for and took the initiative to organize a beautiful birthday surprise with a cake and a thoughtful gift. It was completely unexpected and genuinely touching.
The following day, En. Awan personally came to greet us while we were having breakfast. That small gesture meant a lot, it showed sincerity and care beyond duty. And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, before we left, En. Awan surprised us again with a souvenir, a lovely reminder that we now have a place to come back to.
The hospitality here isn’t just professional, it’s warm, intuitive and heartfelt. We truly felt valued as guests, not just customers.
Thank you to the entire team for making my husband’s birthday so memorable. We appreciate everything so much. Love you all and YES, we will definitely be coming back. 💙

True Paradise Experience. Exceeding my expectations all the Time. Hearthwarming Staff! Perfect location.
Pros:

I had a truly wonderfull experience in the Melia Purosani Hotel !!! All the staff made me feel at home all the time. They are in my heart for always. I stayed 17 days in the Hotel and it was (without a doubt) the Best holiday i ever had. They were so friendly it touched my heart. I miss the Hotel to this day. They exceed my expectations all the time. I can recomend to everybody this Hotel. I know yogya very well. This is the BEST hotel with the best locación and the most frienndly high service in Yogyakarta. It was pure enjoymennt all the time. This is what parqdise look like. Next time i will be there again in December. I will look forward to that big time. It makes me feel already so happy to experience the Hotel and to see the staff.

Overall it was a good stay
Pros:

Location was great, it was quiet and good sized room. Garden and pool area was very relaxing and therapeutic. Staff were very friendly

Cons:

The hallways were smelly, I think carpets or fabric has absorbed the smell over the year. Generally the hotel feels old and need a facelift. Rooms could be cleaner. It was not dirty but somehow some places were dusty, the connecting room doors has thick dust.

the best hotel I've stayed in Jogja city

The best hotel. It's near Malioboro. I recommend it for your vacation or business stay. It has great facilities and services. The room is very clean, and I love the view from the balcony. It's very comfortable, cool, and calm. The staff are always smiling, greeting, and kind. Definitely worth the price.
