Incredibly good value! Superb breakfast, restful night, lovely staff.
Pros:

Excellent breakfast buffet with a big choice of hot and cold foods/drinks (including a whole vegan section). The staff where very helpful and friendly; provided me with a wasserkocher for my room (despite the many choices of tea/coffee in the foyer; I like brewing my own coffee in my room, especially when able to admire the river Alb through the open juliette-balcony windows). Ettlingen is small and beautiful with good choices of eateries, and a lot of lovely buildings to see while strolling along the river. Karlsruhe is only a tram ride away for a great choice of restaurants/bars/shops. The room as clean as a whistle, large, and comfy. We booked it for a break on our way to Switzerland from the Amsterdam ferry. We liked it so much we booked again for a one-night stop-over on our drive back.

Super place to stay…
Pros:

A super, friendly hotel just ten minutes from the historic centre. Staff were lovely and welcoming. The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with lots of tasty options. A great stay!

Great place for an overnight stop on way to or from the alps.
Pros:

Very quiet, comfortable bed and good nights sleep. Location good for access to motorway.
